Not announcing the Premier League scores 20:48 - Feb 23 with 1760 viewsMark

Did we establish why the announcer no longer reads out the scores from the other games in our league? At half time I could not connect to the Internet on my phone at all so was in the dark about what was going on elsewhere.

Too busy screaming blue army at the top of his voice.

He’s the first person that needs to go this summer.

IIRC people complained, saying they preferred to wait to watch Match of the Day without knowing the results.

Is that really true? People are waiting five hours with no radio, TV or phone just to avoid knowing the scores?

Watching MOTD is akin to self harm, imagine watching us lose to Southampton and looking forward to seeing that again with their “insight”. I’d happily never return to the Premier League again if there was a choice if I’m honest, it’s like being a kid constantly being picked on at school. It’s not fun being hammered most weeks and then having a load of pundits mocking it on umpteen different media outlets without mentioning the fact these teams have players worth our entire squad.

Pretty sure that was the original reason given.

...it would be a bit tinpot, but bearable.

But to do it 3 times before KO and then twice at half time is ridiculous.

I'd rather we kept Muric than him.

They should put them on the big screen and tell everyone 'if you don't want to know the other scores look away now (and ignore the cheers/groans of everyone around you)".

We had the same conversation yesterday as it happens. Seems daft not to announce them.

Can't believe no one at the club has picked up on this. Also can't believe the announcer has no self awareness. It is truly awful watching on TV hearing him bluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuue army - makes the club look well tin pot

Perhaps we should put the circles and arrows on the pitch before the game. That way the pundits wouldn't have to tell us how they think our manager should or shouldn't manage our team with the benefit of hindsight!
