Assuming we are relegated, which of our loan players do we think will be in our 25 man squad next season?
Of the following players, I reckon only Harness will move on. IMO Clarke will return to compete with Johnson, Baggott may return if Burgess doesn't sign a new contract, Humphreys could be our '10' option along with Chappers and AAH will probably return unless we can sign 2 strikers (one to replace Delap).

H. Clarke is probably the only one who is ready for a top 2 Championship push. Remember, we're not just looking to be top 10 in the Championship, but top 2 or play-offs at worst. Whilst the others are doing well or ok on loan, are they ready for a Championship promotion? I would say probably not. (Cam H maybe, but not sure) |  |

Baggott was sub for Blackpool weekend and needs football he won't get here and whatever happens here Ali won't be playing here very often if he does come back. | | | |

i think we'll loan aah out again and probably baggott.
humphreys is doing great, but still think he'd benefit from a full championship season, he'll definitely start with us, but may get loaned out if he's not getting a regular spot | |

RB - Ben Johnson
LCB - Jacob Greaves
LCM - Jack Taylor
L10 - Clarke, Szmodics, Broadhead, Philogene
CF - George Hirst
There's a massive queue in front of Harness, so pretty obvious he won't be back.
You would assume there's little chance we'd want to move Harry Clarke on, but we probably shouldn't rule out Sheffield United wanting him permanently. He's played pretty much every minute for them when available.
Humphreys seems to have played three different positions, but in both positions he played for us in, we're very thin. Do wonder if he's one we'll plan to keep around until January then see where we're at.
AAH - are we going to spend yet another window looking for two strikers? Can't see it.
Baggott - think his loan spell at Blackpool seemed to take a bit of upturn when Steve Bruce came in. Left-footed LCBs seem to be difficult to find and I presume we won't look to displace Jacob Greaves. Maybe we do just roll with him as understudy? |  |

I would loan out Humphreys again.
Keep Ali for some depth if he fancies it. Move the rest on.
Clarke will want to be starting games week in and week out, I just dont think he is good enough, even in the champ.

AAH might not fancy being third choice but I think he’d be useful next season if he keeps learning.
Baggott can’t seem to stay fit so I think it’s really hard to know what to do with him.
I love the idea of Humphreys being in the squad every week here and competing/adding to CM and it is where we will be lightest.
Don’t see a future for Harness here and Clarke is probably good enough to compete here but I’m not sure he’s a weekly starter if we are looking to upgrade the squad and first team as a whole. |  |
