I thought we played really well today and looked solid- but how many times this season have we been the better side and not walked away with any points? In a nutshell, games like today are why we will almost certainly be going straight back down, but I’m sure the team will be stronger for the experience as a whole.

Agree with Woolf. He was excellent.
I don't think we were the better team. I think teams let us have the ball knowing we don't use it well, don't create much and it invites us up the pitch, creating gaps and opportunities to freely counter.
The majority of the clear chances were Palace's. Palmer made a couple of good saves. For example we were charmed not to concede when Leif did that abomination of a back pass. |  |

Couldn’t fault the effort but I’ve said it before we have had the DNA of a relegated side for a long time now.
We make mistakes at the back, we don’t keep possession and we don’t take our chances.
Do that and it’s not rocket science where you’ll finish up.
But we do compete in matches and in a way that makes it more frustrating to watch.
