I agree Israel should be held accountable for what it is doing which is outrageous, disproportionate and nothing short of ethnic cleansing.

I get the sentiment but lives lost aren’t interchangeable numbers. Reducing all the human suffering to just numbers and ratios dehumanises the individuals who have lost their lives.

I’m always surprised that they think anyone else will believe that attempted defence to be justifiable. Even if it was true that Hamas we’re using it as a base (and they couple have been), surely any sane and vaguely decent person in that situation would think ‘hang on, maybe we shouldn’t knowingly murder innocent civilians that are being used as a shield. We need to find another way”.
But they won’t think that because they deny the existence of Palestine and so deny the right to life of any Palestinians. Any.
