Even the step up to the Championship seems huge. Portsmouth got promoted last season with an almost perfect record (W20, D1, L1) and, up until a recent up-tick in form yielded two wins, had been marooned at the bottom with three draws all season. |  |

With the planned expansion of the top 2 leagues, it is a great time to go up. ITFC are resourcing the set-up in recognition of the standard (bear in mind, Ashton / Werhun ran Bristol City at that level).
