What a crap 2nd half again.

Sancho has been poor for a long time.

Why is it against us he wakes up?

Subs come on, game falls from our grasp. Rinse and repeat ☹️

Because we're poor & run out of energy. However, conceding after 20 seconds of the restart was the big problem. As i posted earlier, did anyone really think that, even at 2-0, we'd win (or even hang on for a draw)?

and yet when Mckenna holds off making his subs, he gets whinged at for not doing enough to change the game... its almost like if the opposition are better than you and you defend for most of the match, eventually they might score.

Example in question - last week he was told off for making subs too late.

Can't win can he.

I dread to think how many times Ipswich and Southampton have been turned over late in games

Easy fella, I've not moaned that McKenna has left it too late to make subs before. We have been massively affected by injuries meaning our subs are usually a bit of a drop off in quality. It's just frustrating that it happens time and time again, is all!

Hardly surprising is it? The quality of subs that they can bring on against us is frightening!

This. Chasing the ball endlessly takes its toll eventually.

Personally I felt we had more of the game second half.

I thought we were ok second half, created 2 or 3 good chances. Nothing like the Wolves match for example. Considering who we were playing and the subs they could bring on, we did fine.

Ai guess I’m in the minority I thought we played well the 2nd half. Yes we conceded twice but we created chances of our own and they had plenty of time to get a winner and yet we looked reasonably comfortable.
We’ve drawn away to Chelsea and not because we were lucky but because we played well. If we keep most this squad together then we are in a very good place to push on over the next few years. We need some perspective.

He can’t, which is why we’re going down.

Comfortable is a stretch. Palmer made some great saves. We kept going though and carried a threat ourselves.

It was a great effort.

My post was made during the game in real time and more reactive to Philogene getting injured and conceding an equaliser soon after.

It wasn't the performance that was crap, just the things that conspire against us.

Early second half goal was the killer. Crowd was turning as well.

I thought we reacted well to the early goal and upped our performance.

This season, we drew and won against a side who's central midfield cost (a lot) more than our entire squad
