I would like to be an independent MP to try and help the average person. I can't be doing with party politics, defending bullsh1t and attacking good ideas because someone has the wrong colour tie on and being wheeled out on to the likes of Question Time. |  |

Sadly, a couple of chums of mine will love it.
Another of them on last year’s golf tour started pressing his ‘Reform’ views on the rest of us. An extremely wealthy man, it puzzled me as to how somebody so intelligent could be so stupid and narrow.
I nearly wound up losing my temper with him, but that would have benefitted nobody so just made sure I (and my mate) were frequently somewhere else. The problem with people like that, like Truss and the rest of the fruitcakes is zero listening skills. They just don’t do listening. Trump doesn’t. The concept of ever being wrong is totally lost on them. It’s always somebody else’s fault.
You cannot change people like that. Challenge and marginalise them is the only way, as has happened to Truss and why any platform she is involved with will be an echo chamber for idiots that’ll fail. |  | | |
