Rather than spunk £150 million 16:06 - Apr 20 with 3627 viewswarky_1970

We should have spent half that and stuck with what we had. We would be in no worse position.

Pointless season and a waste of promotion.

You don't think Clarke and Philogene are upgrades on Harness and Jackson? Might be time to stop drinking, mate.

Just accidentally down'd this.

But, frankly, it's the most sensible thing posted in this thread.

You absolute DIV !

That’s the point. It would not have made any difference just as spunking £150m on players no better than what we already had has made any difference.

Calling somebody a div who you don’t know is a bit keyboard warrior-ish isn’t it? Would you say that to their face? Are you a Norwich supporter on a wind up?

Assuming not I assume you’d have preferred to have got relegated not even trying and trousering the cash Norwich style because you in your infinite wisdom and gift of foresight knew that spending, tell you what let’s round it up to £200m; sounds more damning, wouldn’t work.

Well, the club knows where to look if McKenna moves on. Just keep your phone on the hook.

Are the players we brought in better than what we had? Yes.

And you call ME embarrassing after a post like that? Jesus wept.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

It wasn’t about the spending but the attitude for some of them. With Burgess vs Greaves or Clarke vs Broadhead, the attitude is very much that the new signing is preferred and the promotion player only gets in if the new signing is injured or has had a run of bad games. I think we would have been better off if it had been the other way around all over. But not by enough to stay up.

They'd all laugh at me if they knew what I was trying to do. To create a new strain of super-wine in half-an-hour with a fraction of nature's resources and a FOOL for an assistant. 'Bernard Black, he's mad,' they'd say, 'he's insane, he's dangerous.' Well I'll show them! I'll show them all!

We've been able to sign players that will serve us well in the Championship and hopefully in the Premier League for years to come and/or make us a tidy profit, the like of which we wouldn't have been able to if we had still been in the Championship.

Getting promoted wasn't just about getting into the Premier League and being there, but about setting the club up for the future.

Well we had to spend that to avoid total annihilation whatever about staying up.. anyway it is what it is ...we will have another stab at it nxt season, if we get promoted only good thing is we won't have the, will he or not leave the club mckenna circus.....I think we can safely say mckenna is with us till he keeps us in the Premiership, and even the owners will back him well
