Liverpool is a big tourist destination, so there should be plenty to do. Plus another at the Pier Head.

Museums etc around the Albert Dock, shops plus restaurants around Liverpool One.

I imagine Liveroool One will also have the usual leisure stuff. Crazy golf, cinema, bowling?

If theyve never done the Beatles stuff well.... they will need more than an afternoon.... A unique Beatles attration is The Casbah Coffee Club which is which is where the Quarrymen/Beatles first started... can only visit on a guided tour which you have to book but the place is as it was in the early 60s when Pete Bests mum owned and ran it.

Another recommendation for Albert Docks. Liverpool One for shopping is a short walk away (about half a mile). A little bit further and to the south of Liverpool One are is China Town if they fancy something a bit different for lunch.

The Liverpool Wheel by Albert Docks is good for kids. There are also various boat tour options of the Docks and/or river. They could fo the cathedrals, but maybe not so interesting for kids.

Chester is good for shopping and a nice town to walk around if you get the time. There’s a walk around the old walls and a few Roman sites dotted around.

There’s a big museum right by the train station which is perfect for kids. 1st floor is an aquarium. The walker art gallery is right next door, it’s really nice but maybe not for little kids.

Also right by the docks there’s loads of nice things to visit and places to eat. They’ll easily make a day of it. Also a ferry ride across the Mersey etc is a good idea I’d say.

I just had a weekend there, and was very surprised how nice the city is these days. I’ll be taking my kids in the summer

depending on the age of your younger kids The Play Barn at Blakemere Village, soft play is good, withwell supervised baby and toddler area and another for older kids. there are also other shops and outlets next door. Also the walk round the walls is great for all of you.

I think there's also an outlet mall near Blue Planet if that's their thing.

We went to Knowsley Safari Park once and my son opened the car door in the lion enclosure ' to check that it was locked'.

They could take the ferry across the Mersey which gives a great view of the fantastic Liverpool waterfront.

There's also this but maybe a bit pricey.

Only do the monkey enclosure if you never want to see your window wipers again.

Go and visit the Everton club shop in Liverpool One. It's named Everton Two.

In case you need the address, it's Everton Two, Liverpool One

I second this!!

I got through unscathed, but watched in horror as the monkeys destroyed the wing mirrors on the car in front!!
