Credit where it's due. Top striker who can score with both feet and looks like a fun guy to have around. Best memory was the season they won the league and he hit that volley against Liverpool from outside the box that came over his shoulder.

That PL season helped highlight that hes far far more than a player who just had great pace. Hes obviously a great goalscorer, but his technique is really high and feel like its been a little underrated because a.) hes been a Leicester player, b.) the fact he came from non-league means people assume his best assets are physical- workrate, energy, speed, rather than technical.
Total respect for him for staying at Leicester and trying to build something rather than jumping for a big offer like some of the others did when they won the League, but can imagine if he went to Arsenal at the time, he would have highlighted that he was an elite forward and probably helped them be much more successful at the same time. | | | |

No, I don’t want Vardy to score against us either. Not in a million years.
He’s had a great career and is proof that you don’t have to move to one of the big clubs to have that. Sometimes it’s better to settle in a place you want to be and make it happen there rather than disappear in a monolith like Man City.
I think he played for them at PR and was pretty anonymous. Let’s hope he stays that way when we play them. |  | | |

Vardy was touted as a possible Town signing when he was at Fleetwood Town & I remember the derision on this board about the prospect of Town signing him.
From low beginnings, he's had a fantastic career & I think what made it was him turning down Arsenal 8 years ago when they matched his £22m release clause, preferring to sign an undoubtedly generous new 4 year contract with Leicester. I think he realised Arsenal's style of play wouldn't suit his strengths. He didn't sit on his fat new contract, but continued to score regularly.
He may have made an unwise choice of wife, but that's got nothing to do with us. |  |

Fair enough post I suppose as he exits the stage, but the guy is a cheat pure and simple. Gets away with so much s--thousery, you won't be saying this after we match or outplay them but lose to a bit of Vardy cheating. We won't get one of the better refs/VAR blokes either, as it's the least important game (in their eyes) of the weekend. |  | | |
