Now that they have got their hands on the levers of power, Farage has passed an edict...

Council workers must be present in the office, no more working from Dubai

Oops.....no more working from Mar a Lago

Oops.... no more working from home

In other news..... Reform are seeking some new admin staff, hours split between office and wfh

" Do as I say, not as I do "

Lets have your best example of labour misinformation, and your best labour "lie".

20 years ago? Reaching a bit there i think.

Just think its interesting that 20% of reform MPs have a criminal record.

I'm not defending Labour, not by any stretch, but equally I wouldn't use Reform as the benchmark either.

You forgot the criminality. As far as I'm aware no Reform MP has been imprisoned for punching a man to the ground in the street and I don't think any Reform MPs currently have an international arrest warrant out for them for corruption. *checks google* nope none arrested on suspicion of child sexual offences either.

I'm not convinced anyone would cite Anderson, Farage, McMurdock, Tice or Pochin as paragons of virtue.

Not much integrity and some criminality there should one care to look.

Lets assume just for argument, that going after the gangs is not working, and is a bad idea which, despite the short space of time so far, is not going to work.

In what way would stating that as a policy intention be misinformation or a lie?

They’ve done what they said they’d do under that horrendous slogan though. They’ve increased international collaboration, formed that new border security force and massively ramped up funding. Not that any of that is particularly new.

I think they were stupid to ‘sloganise’ the issue given how difficult it is, but sadly that’s where we are now with the state of debate and the level of intelligence running through the country. There’s an interesting informed view on their policy here from before their GE victory.

I'm curious how a Union Flag a fluttering away where it wasn't before is going to make a jot of material difference to the population of Kent, Lincs, Lancs et al. Is it going to provide better services? Regular buses in the deepest rural areas? Increased frequency of refuse collection? Ensure vital services for all have adequate funding?

Presumably that means no armed services flags in November, or on Armed Forces Day. Or Ukrainian flags - but after seeing a clip of some Reform tapeworm providing a mealy mouthed response to accusations that they're fawning over Putin on The Politics Show earlier, they've probably had their instructions from Moscow. Apparently we shouldn't get too involved with Ukraine as it doesn't have anything to do with us.

I mean, really? This week of all weeks? If it was 1939, would they be saying Poland has nothing to do with us?

Plus, they can blub about WFH all they like. The world has moved on. And what Tice, Farage, Johnson, the Mail and Telegraph need to get through their tiny tiny minds, is the only people who decide whether or not I work from home, is my employer. Nobody else. Not the Government or any politician or newspaper proprietor who has a commercial property portfolio that is tanking.

And one things for sure, if it all goes horribly wrong in those councils, it won't be their fault. Nothing ever is for these people. They'll blame the Government, the Tories, the BBC, single mothers, the unemployed, and so on and so forth.

These people are only interested in one thing. Themselves. They couldn't care less if you voted for them or not. They make their fame by stoking division, claiming that they are what the country needs, whereas in reality, they're cowardly, inadequate treacherous quislings.

According to Richard Tice on Newsnight last week the British public aren't interested in these things, they're more concerned with stopping the boats and reducing mass immigration. Which is probably why Reform haven't bothered to come up with any policies to fix them.

To be fair, some are only interested in ‘stopping the boats’. But then you have to ask why they’ve got into this state and put a relatively minor issue with existing controls (albeit underfunded and slow moving) above more common every day issues that affect all of us. But you don’t have to look very far to find the propaganda that’s worked them into such a frenzy.

Good point, although you would hope the other parties had proposals as to how to deal with ALL the issues, including the single one Reform seem to be focusing on.

The only thing Two Tier is smashing is the record number of illegal immigrants we have pouring into our once beautiful country.

What's not beautiful about the country benters?
It's still a beautiful country.
Granted the vibe around the place is a worry, but writing it off as 'once beautiful" is hyperbolic bobbins mate.

Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness.
