Aside from that break recently, Sunderland have looked pretty poor to me.

Cue them scoring no doubt.

Cov certainly looking the more threatening, they have a fairly decent squad in fairness

Both underperformed last season

Coventry have played nicely but haven’t really made the keeper work, bar flapping at their early skirmish ball.

Play g a containment game, Sunderland look organised and decent defensively.

I believe they have been on very ordinary/poor form. Interviews with their players beforehand saw them trying to talk that down and with very poor body language. I would say it is Sheffield United's to throw away really. Considering they finished on 90 points, 14 points clear of the rest suggests they are by far the best of the 4. Very reminiscent of last season with the top 3 well ahead of the rest.

It was a top 3 and a half last year really.

I always felt Saints would do Leeds in the final.

I know that both sets of players are under a lot of pressure but it has been a pretty low quality match.

Cue Sunderland have just scored - but I would expect Sheff Utd to beat either side.

It’s definitely one where the occasion is greater than the quality. It’s starting to liven up though.

Just because a team loses a match it doesn’t mean that they have bottled it - believe it or not it is possible to be outclassed in a one-off match.

Plus, what has history got to do with it? Every season, a few players move in and out of most teams. Past history means nothing.

It's a fans psyche. Nothing else.

We'll probably have the same next year if we finish 3-6th despite the fact that not one of our players was here last play off game we played?

And possibly not even born when we last won a game in one!
