Chappers - Today's Man of the Match 14:43 - May 10 with 1829 viewsCafe_Newman

Last week we saw that we still have that resilience that saw us pick up so many points after 85mins of a game last year.

Today, we'll see that infectious love of the game that Chappers brings to the team that just makes a team click and the fans' energy rise.

Hard to see what you’re seeing. Chappers is doing ok, but defo not MotM this half.

Sadly, he looks lost.

I took a flyer with a pre-match prediction which, erm, well, the other comments in the thread say it all really.

It's passing our whole midfield by.

He was on the pitch for about an hour to make up the numbers but not really playing as such.

What game are you watching? The game has passed him by. Sorry but he's ineffective at this level.

LOL, didn’t spot that you posted this pre-kick off. My excuse is I was checking the formum on my phone at half time, and assumed it was your assessment of the first half

Sad to say, he had a poor game today. No real impact.

For context, to those saying he was poor, “Conor was sick overnight and felt good enough to start but was struggling on the pitch.” - McKenna.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

We all love Chappers but he is a Championship player . For me it's difficult enough to win Premier league games but with Connor and Taylor in the team !

Chaplin wasn't particularly effective in the second half of last season either.

I was hoping this thread would have slipped off the first page by now. It was a slightly optimistic and very hopeful pre-match prediction - a fact that many readers have failed to recognise, at least initially.

Why he didn’t start with Clarke on the left and Enciso as 10 is beyond me.

A good example of how hard it is to play in a forward position in a PL team which is perpetually struggling for any decent possession. Probably why plenty of people on here think Philogene is no good as well.
