I seem to recall they get more excited about selling out the car park instead of the actual seats in the stadium

That was so poor. Desperate. As for Cam H, I hope he’s had better games. He had some good touches but he didn’t influence the game as I hoped he would.

Think he’s more influential when playing further up the pitch. I wasn’t really paying attention but he appeared to be playing quite deep. But as I say, I wasn’t really watching it fully focussed.

Their support feels like it’s been getting worse for the last 10 or so years. They’ve paid no interest in getting kids involved for as long as I can remember. They been trying to sell this game out any way they can. Chris Evans on the radio, sending emails to schools in bucks to get the kids to go.

I am one of those who doesn't quite understand the hype about him Yes he has some talent for sure, he just seems to small and not particularly agile, not that this has stopped other great players in fairness He has a decent left foot, an eye for a pass and touch but I'm not as excited about him as a Teddy Bishop for example or perhaps even Lankester albeit Humphreys has probably gone further than Lankester already Is Humphreys any better than El Miz at this stage, I'm not totally convinced? He might be an alright squad player but I'm not convinced he is going to bust into the team and tear things up

I watched Cam live vs Lincoln a few weeks ago. He was MoM and rightly so. Scored the winner where he was put through, took it round keeper and finished from tight angle. Biggest thing that impressed me though was he busted a gut from first to last, chased every ball and hassled the Imps all game. Difference was he normally plays as a 10 for Wycombe and he was a pivot today where I fear he will forever be undersized for. Did play a great cross field pass to create best chance of game for Udoh. This is the issue for Cam at town. He is too small for CDM, but would be 4th choice 10 probably, and 3rd choice LB? Think there is a player there, but we sadly don't have a spot for him. Kone on the other hand is a total bust. Seen him in 3 games now and just seems to want to fight CB's and whinge at the ref when he inevitably comes off second best. Whoever spends big on him, and someone will, are gonna lose their pants. Reminds me of Jatta at Notts County, or Cole Stockton, even Colby Bishop. Nothing player, massively overhyped. Interesting that you’ve actually seen live - tv can be deceptive because it won’t show work rate etc - the basic stuff you talked about. We definitely need a box to box player; somebody with the energy of youth, attitude along with the ability to pass the ball and score the odd goal. He can certainly offer the latter and he’s young. He’s our player and I’d give him a chance in the Championship - but having only seen small cameos live as a sub etc here, it may well just be wishful thinking on my part. As for Kone, I was unimpressed. But then I was surprised just how poor the standard of that game was.

I think Cam Humphreys has got far more than Bishop ever did. Bishop could ghost past a couple of players before getting fouled, but think he was very over-rated. He only scored about 5 goals for us... which is pretty poor for an attacking midfielder. Humphreys is a far better all-round footballer. Seems very intelligent and just needs to add a bit of physical strength. [Post edited 12 May 6:34]

Agree. He is one of those who if going to make it would have already. He doesn't really influence games and so far off the physical attributes needed for top flight football. Think we will sell in summer.

He’s their player of the season, and from reports one of the best in L1, so he clearly does influence games. On that basis he deserves a chance in the Championship. The question is how far will his ability take him? [Post edited 12 May 9:10]

I tuned in for the second half and couldn’t believe how poor the standard was. First balls all long, second balls just hooked forwards. People above saying Cam was anonymous but so was every CM on the pitch, the ball went over their heads relentlessly. Terrible game of football and does make you realise the jump we’ve had to do. Pretty crazy. [Post edited 12 May 9:10]
