The corporate seats on halfway at Wembley on 16:25 - May 24 with 1521 views | Jrm_72 | Yeah always boils my p1ss that the 'club wembley' seats are empty for all but the biggest occasions. Agree at minimum should flip the hard camera, but should get people to declare if not using their seats for a particular game and resell them. Its an eyesore at our national stadium. Also, not worth a new thread over, but the debacle over national league final tickets is an utter joke. Was gonna take my kids but now looks like I won't get tickets and transport would be a nightmare anyway. And the stadium wont be as full as it could be!!

It’s outrageous Oldham and Southend fans will miss out on final. If the trains issue was known about should have moved the final to Arsenal or Tottenham

Yep, totally wrong. I am a first world problem as a neutral, fans of either of those clubs deserve a big day out after what they've been through in recent years. Next year I will definitely get on it earlier though, wembley does an early bird offer for the final of £20 for adults if booked in March! | | | | Login to get fewer ads

The likes of Sheffield United and Man City can’t sell out anyway! Who doesn’t like a glass of bubbles and some sushi at half time. [Post edited 24 May 16:44]

Oldham & Southend are getting at least 17,500 tickets each, way more than either club has ever averaged so any of their regular fans will still be able to go.

Southend have said they wanted 30,000, but obviously that could be thumb in the air numbers. I believe its 17,500 each plus however many travel via official coaches, so I guess that will be the test of how soft the 30k figure is. Still think my original point stands - the limitation on ticket sales should be stadium capacity followed by demand, and not because our political class (of all colours) are literally the most operationally inept people in existence.

No true fan will miss out but it’s a big shame as they could have broken the record attendance

The corporate seats on halfway at Wembley on 19:28 - May 24 with 1029 views | nrb1985 | Easiest thing to do would be to drop the drinking in view of the pitch thing. At least in the hospitality anyway. Never done wembley corporate but do Twickenham fairly frequently. They have a HT drink ready for you at your table when you come in but put it in a plastic glass so you can take it straight back out with you. Agree with the other points about it being an eye sore though and flipping the camera. Does look a bit ridiculous.

Have a feeling somebody trialed it in the UK this year. Maybe next year it’ll change? In German you definitely can though, not sure about elsewhere.

It's a pretty grim experience as well. I've not done this Wembley, but have been in a fair few different corporate events in the past. It's fine when you're younger and all that stuff seems like a big deal. I'd recommend people try it. But I grew bored/grew out of it pretty quickly and would rather be in the middle of the crowd where there's more life/passion/emotion., etc.

Hospitality is great if you aren’t invested in the game. I’m not a rugby fan so quite enjoy watching England at Twickenham as I’m not particularly invested and can enjoy the facilities. Can’t imagine anything worse though than watching Town or a big England football game in there. Would much rather be in the thick of it as you say. Just my view though. [Post edited 24 May 20:45]

Depends on the event/game, your investment in it and if you’re paying lol. Sometimes as well it’s the only way to get in!

The licensing restriction is that you aren't allowed to drink "in view of the pitch", so boxes can either have blinds up and all alcohol put away, or pull the blinds down and carry on drinking.

The ridiculous thing is that businesses spend massively over the odds to go to a football stadium and sit in a room smaller than most of their offices with the blinds down drinking supermarket wine! But, yeah, time to change it. Or at least give it as an option for stadiums with less than a certain number of arrests per year as a trial run. That would incentivise good behaviour.
