Most powerful songs ever written 20:25 - May 26 with 3087 viewsThe_Flashing_Smile

I think Bankster would like this one. And I like that most of you will have never heard it, which kinda sums things up.

And also, although this one is a lot more famous, I still think it's very powerful. One of the most beautiful songs ever written.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Thanks for posting the first one, I hadn’t heard it before.

A couple spring to mind for me. Whilst the Johnny Cash cover is emotive for many reasons, the original (specifically this live version) is harrowing to me:

And then also, no list like this would be complete without Tracy:

Thanks for the name check Dollers and you're not wrong, loved it! It's seeing and hearing tuned in youngsters like this that keeps my 6th form heart beating and offers me much needed glimmers of hope in a World drowning in its own sh1t.

I love Hurt, and it's funny how so many people think it's a Johnny Cash song because he covers it so well. But yeah, great shout.

Something I Can Never Have by NIN gets me every time.
I'm not sure it will help you as such, but it will help knowing that others are feeling the same thing.
Life is hard.

"I'm starting to scare myself" gets me every time.
Hope you find peace.

Isn’t the moment when Paul McCartney sings golden slumbers just a really great emotive instance?

And it finishes its and in the end the love you take, is equal to the love you make.

Profound as well.

I saw She Drew The Gun at The Brudenell Social Club in Leeds about 7 or so years ago. Never known such a long and genuine applause for a song before like there was for Poem that night. Absolute goosebumps
