A couple spring to mind for me. Whilst the Johnny Cash cover is emotive for many reasons, the original (specifically this live version) is harrowing to me:
And then also, no list like this would be complete without Tracy:

Thanks for the name check Dollers and you're not wrong, loved it! It's seeing and hearing tuned in youngsters like this that keeps my 6th form heart beating and offers me much needed glimmers of hope in a World drowning in its own sh1t.

I love Hurt, and it's funny how so many people think it's a Johnny Cash song because he covers it so well. But yeah, great shout.
Something I Can Never Have by NIN gets me every time. I'm not sure it will help you as such, but it will help knowing that others are feeling the same thing. Life is hard.
"I'm starting to scare myself" gets me every time. Hope you find peace.
Trust the process. Trust Phil.

I remember a period of time in my early 20's when my go to for 'cheer up' tunes was Leonard Cohen!
"They break our legs and tell us to be grateful when they offer us crutches."
I saw She Drew The Gun at The Brudenell Social Club in Leeds about 7 or so years ago. Never known such a long and genuine applause for a song before like there was for Poem that night. Absolute goosebumps

Puts me in mind of this....
Listen to the end and it contains my childish 6th form manifesto....never grow up too much!

I don't think anyone thinks Hurt is a Johnny Cash song?
