Forgive my ignorance with drug driving but is that a roadside test a la alcohol or would they have done a blood test and rushed the results through?

Whatever happens from here, you’d think his life is ruined as once he’s out he will likely need a new name and rehousing too.

There is a roadside test for drugs yes, only for cannabis and cocaine I think, doubt they may have been able to do that amidst all the chaos at the scene mind you.

I thought that but wasn’t sure. I know they can do things like hair tests for historic use etc but wondered if the chaos of yesterday meant they’d have to treat this differently once he was carted off to the cells.

So he snuck in behind an ambulance which was let through a barrier?

Pre mediated then rather than a case of road rage I’d suspected.

Sounds opportunist rather than premeditated to me. You'd have to be there as the ambulance was let through, so lucky rather than planned. Maybe he thought he could use the ambulance to take a short cut (especially as it sounds like he was on drugs).

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Possibly. Sounds more like a series of horrendous judgements to me, but speculating does no good. Hopefully he gets a fair trial and fair sentence so that we avoid any of the conspiracy grifters getting their teeth into it.

I think the test for sniff is a mandatory blood test back at the station if arrested for other offences or there’s suspicion of. I don’t think someone can be tested roadside like they can in the case of alcohol.

I'm sure I saw on one of those "terrible driver" cop shows that there is a roadside drug test for cannabis.

At the point they got hold of him they probably bundled him off for his own safety.
