…from next season.

Quite a feat, will be interesting to see how they do that.

Probably staggered from Thurs-Tues. Even if it's Fri-Mon that gives at least six kick off times, probably more. They could easily have three kick off times on a Saturday.

Truly impaired.

Probably a similar setup to Sky Sports+ and how the BBC have done it in the past - one or two headline games, with all the others having their own streams behind the red button or suchlike.

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

well they have 4 channels, but with Discovery+ they can stream everything at once.

whether thats actually something people want to watch, or more importantly pay to watch is another matter.

Good shout on Discovery+. With them putting the European finals there, they clearly are trying to funnel people towards that platform.

The only way to access TNT these days (if you don’t have it on TV) is through Discovery+ after Warner Bros bought into it, the TNT app went defunct.

Just read the Warner Bros are taking full control after agreeing a deal to buy BTs 50% share.

That’s annoying. Currently BT broadband customers can get discovery+ for £20 a month. I do, for the cycling. Doubt that deal will last long now.

The BBC will be showing 14 games (co-exclusive with TNT) including one semi-final and the final.

ITV lost the rights.

Hmmm, from this it’s every game from the third round OUTSIDE of Sat 3pms - so not EVERY game as they advertise then, unless there will be no more 3pm KOs!

Surely there’s a saturation point whereby there’s just too much live football on television.

I assume TNT will covertly up their monthly fee for this and I see Sky are also hawking an extra forty or so top division games for next season as well.

Dump off the greedy bast*rd’s subscription fees in August (when they’ll sneak in their increases) and enjoy a few meals out or nights in with loved ones instead.

Poll: September 2025. Which one?

If in danger of running out, they'll just invent more football competitions to televise.

They already have with this club world cup thing this summer.

I don’t know who’s won the privilege of broadcasting it, but there’s obviously enough excitement anticipated for Madrid to spaff £10m in loose change to ensure Trent Alexander Arnold floats a few balls in the direction of Mbappe this summer.

A pittance in the scheme of modern football, but that’s quite a few subscriptions on Sky and TNT…

If enough people bin it off, who knows?

I’m assuming this means less coverage by BBC and ITV? Shame this competition is going down this route, but ultimately money talks.

Both semis have been free to air for a million years. Once again a company has stolen our sport from us and put it behind a paywall. I loathe these people at an atomic level.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

Disney+ just won the rights to the Women's Champions' League, so that's another £8.99 a month for anyone who wants to watch that.

Even if we pay every subscription we still have to watch loads of advertising.

It has got absolutely ridiculous, with so many subscriptions needed and so many competitions being created. I wonder if people will switch off and go to do something else instead.

DAZN paid FIFA £1billion for the broadcast rights.
Shortly after receiving a £1billion investment from Saudi.
Shortly before Saudi were awarded the World Cup by FIFA.

Nope, stuff that. I’m having none of it next year. I wonder if we’ll get matches back on TownTV. I’d do that, but all the mainstream streaming services are going.

Then people don't want to pay for a public broadcaster because its socio-political positions do not align exactly with their own.

The only away League game I didn't attend last season was Man U, so I paid £31.99 to see it.

Having thought I'd cancelled it, I was alarmed two months later to note from my bank statement that two further monthly payments had gone through, at which point I did manage to cancel

Given that I didn't watch anything else on Discovery+, roughly £96 was a lot to pay for just one game. But I suppose it was cheaper than going to the game, and staying overnight.
