Poll: We’ve got super KM, he knows exactly what we need. Woolfie at the back…

I hope he does one more year. Possibly the best Captain I’ve seen at the club, including Mills and Holland. The heartbeat of the club. Other teams and their supporters seem to dislike him. That tells you how good he is.

I believe he’s got a lot to offer still in the Championship. However, if he decides he wants a new challenge, I wish him well. What a brilliant signing he has been.

Next summer seems the perfect time for him to move on. End of his contract off the back of captaining us to another promotion. Absolutely no idea why we would let him walk for nothing either, would be utterly stupid.

I'm not convinced the market out in the Middle East for a player of his profile is particularly lucrative either. He will be on £20k a week here. Not sure he will earn much more if any more than that. Could get a longer deal out there probably but no better deal than he could get next summer.

If true, which is 50/50, it will raise serious concerns about our decision making when it comes to transfer income.

It's mind boggling that we wouldn't get a fee for him.

Surely we can't just be saying "You been great for us, so we will let you go for nothing out of respect"

Wait and see I guess.

The other option is we aren't able to move him on, aren't really going to play him and have to see out the rest of his contract, which, isn't going to be free. Lot of sense to allow it happen if we genuinely don't think we'll be able to get a fee from someone else.

Worth bearing in mind that the lack of income tax would almost double his earnings from the same weekly wage in Saudi though. On say 30k a week he'd likely be more than doubling his Championship earnings.

The Saudis have thrown money at some superstars, but for the 'lesser lights' (people like Jack Hendry, Wesley Hoedt who had been playing in the UK) the relative take home pay increase is the real draw

He was offered a deal that would triple his post-tax earnings by a Saudi club 18 months ago.

I’d heard this previously but assumed it wasn’t true. Could this mean we’re opening the door for Cajuste?! Surely not, that would be a hell of a coup.

Am I the only one that doesn't think Cajuste fits the pivot system?

He's a lovely player, but his defending isn't that good, he doesn't cover when Davis goes up as Luongo did (which led to people blaming Davis all the time) and he didn't actually get any assists. Much like Taylor, I think he'd fit a traditional central role better.

I'd rather we found a player that fitted the system we play personally.

No, you're not the only one.

A lot of fans have a blind spot about this issue.

I'm not fussed if we signed him or not, which in reality means I wouldn't be dropping anywhere near £10m on him.

Not sure the hustle and bustle of the Championship would bring out the best in him either.

Guess the hope is talent wise he's too good for the Championship, and he can develop his defensive nous in a less punishing environment so if we go back up again he's a better rounded player on top of his clear talent levels and physicality he possesses.

First job is to get out of the Championship, and he helps with that - but he doesn't sense danger defensively and our pivots need to

I just don't think he's cut out to be in a double pivot, whichever level he's at.

He's played most of his career in a midfield three and you can see that. His positional awareness is sloppy and even at Championship level that could be punished more than we'd like.

He didn't exactly rule anything out when asked about his future at the end of the season.
