Teams like Palace and forest have shown it is attributes like pace and power that will help you to succeed in the premier league.

More like holding on to the ball for far to long than he needed to when an easy pass was on!

Added to that ‘individual’ feel of our attacking play last season

There's something here though. That sort of player is being coached out of the game. You don't want to stifle the ability to beat a player but he's young and is still learning, same as Hutch. I'd have him back in a heartbeat, esp in the Championship (which was never an option). As frustrating as he might be sometimes, that's one exciting player and not an identikit player either. EDIT: I'll add, lots of talk about tactics and having a plan B or C. Teams need players that can unlock a low block. [Post edited 11 Jun 11:53]

He was annoying in some instances but you do sometimes need someone like that, trouble was Delap was a bit of a hogger as well. Enciso was quality though, a small highlight of the second half of the season, especially his goal at Goodison.

Hard agree with this. Lost count of the number of times I shouted 'pass the facking ball ffs' last season..... Clearly a very talented player, but it was like watching the playground ball hog from school at times.

Yep, he’s got abilities you just can’t teach, interesting to see how his decision making develops and if it does, he’ll become some player.

Yeah but you can coach that stuff (and I'm sure McKenna would have). I'd have had him back if possible, no question. He'd be like a cheat code in the Champ.
| Trust the process. Trust Phil. |

I've got no doubt that he's a good player, and with a bit of fine tuning he could turn in to a very good player. It was more than we was in the middle of a relegation battle, scrapping for our lives and it somewhat felt he was playing for himself, rather than the team - which in turn meant at times, when an easier pass was on, or a through ball that looked like the better pass, he would either hang on or take a shot. In a free flowing team (perhaps us at Championship level), he would flourish more. The fact he could barely speak English probably didn't help him either. Martyn Pert was about the only person who could communicate with him at the club.
