And now, the glass half empty 10:50 - Jun 19 with 5680 viewsitfc_bucks

Realistically, I'm not convinced we're any stronger in the Championship than we were last time out and, frankly, we had a season build on tremendous team spirit and a boatload of luck (except for penalties, which we're apparently not allowed anymore).

Is Greaves an upgrade on Cam?

We're weaker in the middle of the park (as it stands) than last time out.

We have a plethora of lightweight wingers, who despite the hype, I'm far from convinced by.

Long term injuries to Burns and Ogbene, who might never get back to where they were.

Our forward line has more than a few concerns in terms of both talent and availability.

I'm sure we'll make signings, but let's really not get ahead of ourselves...

Leif isn’t a better player, he still can’t do the basics of getting goal side.

Only now, rather than having a really high ceiling, and nobody knowing if he can step up, everyone can see that at the minute, hie’s miles away from the level.

In his own words, it’s massively affected his confidence.

He won’t be close to his 23/24 numbers, still a cracking attacking player in there and athlete, but imagine he’ll be working VERY hard of the defensive side because he’s SO far off the standard.

And GK Muric is ace worse than any of our League One group, and Palmer is a modest upgrade, golden gloves don’t really tell a picture and he has more mistakes in him than Vlad, but he’s more of a presence too, maybe a slight edge.

Some of the attacking threats you mention won’t be here in August…, we’ll sell Clarke if we can find a buyer and very sadly Hutchinson won’t be here - £35 million looks a bargain and only other clubs PSR could save us there.., probably Leeds or Brentford bound.

The biggest problem I don’t think is quality.

It’s that the legacy group sweated blood for their BIG chance.., now they know they won’t get another, they aren’t good enough, and they won’t be at those levels, that’s how motivation works.

A 1% drop in our 23/24 motivation and we wouldn’t have gone up, not even close, we were the fine margins on so many results it was a crazy ride.

McKenna has his work cut out…, which is why he’s currently trying to leverage a move to Brentford, which is really poor on his part.

Where did you get these two gems from?:

"McKenna has his work cut out…, which is why he’s currently trying to leverage a move to Brentford, which is really poor on his part."

"Oh, and the manager is currently in conversations about leaving AGAIN."

Do you have any source at all for these statements? Inside info that perhaps that the rest of us aren't party to?

I think you've just made it up out of thin air so you can have something to flap about.

You are back. Yet again thank you for such an enlightening, factual post. Evidence based, balanced and thoughtful as always.

Norwich made a signing have they or have you at last managed to unstick the pages of Delia’s One is Fun cookbook?

They constantly make stuff up with which to attack McKenna, Ashton, and the club in general. It's very odd behaviour.

As posts go this is as bad as it gets really. Just a jumble of things made up in someone's head which has no basis in reality. Just nonsense on gut feeling with no analysis or basis for the arguments. Really silly and poor.

Sounds a lot like what I'd write if I were on a Nodge forum, having seen them maybe three or four times and trying to come across as genuine.

He should give it up or get another handle because nobody on here bites, just point at him and laugh.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

I now completely ignore him. He never responds when his points are challenged with facts anyway.

Haven't you got a family member you could be fornicating with?
