I think as was covered in the thread above to some degree and it was never likely to have been.

Iranians had been talking of moving the Uranium out of those sites for nearly 3 weeks and there are even satellite images of a stream of trucks leaving as late as end of last week.

No-one wins, everyone is lying to whichever audience they need to 'impress'

So, Trump may very well have bombed some now empty warehouses/labs, but that's it. Israel's assassination of the scientists behind the programme is more important as a delaying tactic I'd say.

For context Israel's child-killer in chief has been saying Iran has been "weeks away" from having a nuclear weapon since 2011. All feels a bit WMD Iraq doesn't it?

Yes who'd want to see a democratic and peaceful Iran. Long live the terrorist Khamenei regime!

I expect that with the improvements in technology, etc they'll probably able to deploy those WMD's in under 10 minutes nowadays.

This was both a sarcastic post, and also an unnecessary extra thread which should have gone in the other thread.

The sarcasm remains, but I wish I hadn't started another one. Wonder if Ronald T Dump feels the same?

Clearly, replacing Khamenei would be a welcome result.

It's just not a coincidence that Trump calling for "MIGA" yesterday is followed by the main opposition leader's very public call for change.

I appreciated it was very much sarcastic, just adding to the reasons it was!

I think most of us want to see a democratic Iran, although I doubt the transition can be peaceful. But the main point of contention is that a dynastic succession by a descendent of a deeply corrupt Shah is not a great starting point.

Sadly democracy hasn’t been very successful in the region - arguably the Middle East and North Africa is more unstable post the Arab-spring uprisings. Albeit ironically Iran has been a major player in that instability- arming and using it’s proxy groups to fight for influence after the fall of various governments.

It didn't need to have any damage at all.
It's intended as a wind-up to Iran.
If a terrorist cell launches an attack in the USA then it's game over for democracy.
It doesn't have to be an Iran backed group.
Worse, it could be Trump goons, dressed as terrorists, carrying out an attack in order to justify Martial Law.
Once Trump has declared martial law, he can hunt down anyone who 'fits' the terrorist description.
Draconian laws via Executive orders can be created to remove any opposition.
No mid-term elections unless all democrats have been removed from the ticket. If they are standing for election then they are anti-American by the simple act of opposing the GOP.
