One of our office guys had it for about a week recently and had it real bad. It turned into acute bronchitis, he really was quite unwell.
I'm not sure if being a big ol fat fecker was a help or a hindrance. |  |

It's certainly less of a threat than it used to be, so I don't mind the comparison too much, but as far as I understand it it's still a different animal which is less predictable in its effects, so as such it shouldn't really trigger people to ask for a bit of local/ballpark info on how it tends to play out at the moment.
(Not saying you were triggered, Sitters; as I say I don't mind your question really.

Well I think it's worth pointing out that colds are not the flu and if you get the flu then you can be very sick indeed.
Cold is a catch-all term for many weaker rhinoviruses and coronaviruses but not the influenza virus although in society people of course call colds the flu in many instances.
Covid is still very contagious and a very nasty thing to catch but it's migration to the respiratory tract rather than the lungs has thankfully made it much less dangerous.

My third time too I think (possibly others), but my family generally seems to cope with it pretty well when we get it. I had three days of throaty, tired, weak and slightly achy, but today much closer to normal. Normal for me, anyway. | |
