That’s going to get us to the 32 ish mark meaning we need to lose 7.

Morsy, Slicker and Muric and probably Hutch will all go so that means 4 more need to go or not be registered.

Potentially Baggott and Humphrey’s to go out on loan but who else?

Harry Clark maybe or Johnson? Broadhead although I think it would be stupid to get rid.Al Hamidi?

I wouldn’t be surprised if we sell Johnson. Baggott another loan. That would gives us 3 senior spots left.

Correct - the EFL handbook makes this clear. We have no-one in the senior squad that counts as U21 right now. I think it's unlikely we'll be able to boost the 25 with any U21s for the coming season. Do not confuse EFL U21 definitions with the FIFA U21 qualification criteria (which recognises the 2 years between a competition starting, and finals)

EFL handbook definitions :

‘Under 21 Player’ means a Player under the age of 21 as at the 1 January in the year in
which the Season concerned commences.

Guidance
For Season 2025/26 an Under 21 Player is someone born on or after 1 January 2005.

Enables us to keep Humphries as a 4th CMf and utility 10. Moving AAH allows flexible cover by taking a pure Striker 9 or someone able to play minutes in rotation with Hirst or cover a 10 or RW position much like Kayden Jackson did (hopefully upgrade)!

I think that looks fairly accurate.

However, Humphreys wouldn't make 4 midfielders - he'd surely make 5?

Like others, I can't see it being ideal only to have 2 strikers. I appreciate that we have January coming if we need to fix something, and at Champ level if we really do have a crisis I suppose we could cope OK with Sammy up there making a nuisance of himself for a few games...

I can certainly see us reverting more to the "finishers" model of using more subs, earlier, than last year. We're fine for wingers and 10s, even with OH gone (sheds a tear), but just one injury or suspension up front and suddenly we don't have that option and we're asking a lot of Hirst or A.N.Other.

Think Johnson stays. He will be of more use in the PL than Clarke. Also Taylor and Broadhead will still be here. Philogene will be used in a few different positions, so Clarke and Broadhead for the LM role. The others I would agree with.
