Well, that’s silly if true. We need to be looking at other options. We hang around too long and then miss other targets whilst waiting. We have needed a striker since forever, makes you wonder what all this recruitment team do all year. They should have a decent list to work through,not just keep waiting for that one target that may never happen. |  | | |

We've done this with strikers every year under Gamechanger, and failed to get our number one target through the door over the summer. See Hirst and Broja as examples. We're then left floundering with a lack of viable options up top until January - and last season we didn't bring in anyone at all. | |

Problem is guess how can you agree a striker signing if you don't know what fees you have to play with.
One minute it looks like 35 mill coming in for hutch and then it's just 7 for broady with 15 out for Hackney or what ever it is.

We don’t seem to have grasped that though. Look at Hirst the year before last. Broja last year, then no one in January when we desperately needed someone.
