Says Hackney trained at Rockliffe on Friday and told him personally he wasn't keen on joining? Hmm... Is that why Cajuste deal has gone into overdrive I wonder?

It is understandable if he has lived there all his life, Boro have some decent players and a manager that has recent won promotion with Luton.

It is certainly not a 'no brainer' move for him.

However, it does seem the club is happy to sell him, so they don't exactly want him it seems. He will also be increasing his salary a fair bit too, and with no certainty in football, that might end up being a sensible move for him. There is no guarantees in football, and his last seasons form, he may not reproduce.

I'd say Boro aren't "happy" to sell him but would very much like £20+ million quid.

I can't see the appeal for him to come here. Probably a bit of a pay rise but he will def want Prem football before next season. He could get that in January.

Not really - plenty of wrong and duff info makes its way here too. Sometimes via the club intentionally I think.

Always cautious when I hear stuff not on here and where I share it, even if I know it’s supposedly come from someone at the club. I doubt anyone directly employed or friends with a player etc is careless enough for long.

Coppingers Mrs at the hospital and Tesco copdock being the long running shorthand on twtd for example.

Think you’re generalizing across the board.

I was referring to one or two posters in particular who usually seem to have good ITK.

Judging by what’s transpired in the last hour also it seems the alleged Boro ITKer was right too.

He doesn't strike me as the sort of player who would be a 'panic buy' in the January window though, not for a relegation threatened side or one chasing European places.

Maybe a mid-table side would take a punt, just to get him before someone does at the end of the season, but I wouldn't see him making more than a handful of sub appearances as he adjusts to the PL style.

Hey-ho, it's his choice at the end of the day, it will either turn out to be a good decision, or a poor one, time will tell.

Man there are some bitter comments here. The lad has the right to stay with his local boyhood club until the deal is right for him. Whatever we may think about Town, we aren't currently Premier League, and if he has an outside chance of moving there this off season then I think most of us would wait and see what develops. It's a shame as he would have been a decent player for us, however we move on
