I think most will agree we need to play better on Sunday 08:01 - Aug 14 with 964 views | muccletonjoe | Coming out of that game with another draw wouldn't be the worst result ever , but a defeat and , while the wheels may not have come off already, they will be looking decidedly loose, and the transfer window is suddenly looking like an emergency exit from a looming crisis with the added headache of Hutchinson refusing to play.

I think most will agree we need to play better on Sunday on 08:09 - Aug 14 with 897 views | FrimleyBlue | I did say a few weeks back, August for us is don't lose to much ground to those that may be in and around us, more than desperation of seeing 3 points as a must If we can win, great, but this month is tough for us with our squad nowhere near ready for the campaign yet Our bread and butter in promotion season was beating 'normal clubs' we struggled against those up the top end, so if that means draws for now, fine. Just don't lose 3 points to them.

i rate this as our toughest home match of the season, so my par score to reach 100 points is a loss, so wouldn't be throwing my toys out of the pram if we do get defeated. however a draw would be a good result and it's definitely not beyond us (nor is a win, they didn't look that great against wrexham!)

August is a results business. Get through it with 7-10 points and that’s a good start given the work needed on the squad and nature of the fixtures.

I'd take a draw now, We're not very settled and a few players short, Draw would be a good result, Can turn that around later in our season,

I think most will agree we need to play better on Sunday on 09:16 - Aug 14 with 469 views | Bluemike31 | It's not a must win or anything close to it, in fact my prediction was to draw the first Two games which we are still on course to do and then beat Preston & Derby which we should be well capable of, that would represent a decent start to the season and Two tough fixtures out of the way whilst remaining unbeaten.
I think most will agree we need to play better on Sunday on 09:22 - Aug 14 with 408 views | Horsham | I am not sure expectant of anything on Sunday. We’ve not looked sharp or coherent, our best player is in a sulk, our two new signings aren’t ready and our big signing from January has been injured. Also crucially Saints are a bloody strong squad. I’m more anxious/expectant about the following 2 games where we play Preston and Derby. We should be a week sharper and better drilled, nearer to getting Omari resolved and facing teams we should be routinely beating to get the 95 plus points we need to get top 2: | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Seems a fair assessment. I’ve no idea how our draw at Brum will eventually be viewed. Depends on whether they can carry on or if they tail off. This S’ton match is pretty much a nailed-on tough one against one of the best sides. We shouldn’t fear anyone, but we do seem short. As much as I hope we find our swagger and get a good result, avoiding defeat wouldn't be the end of the world.

I think most will agree we need to play better on Sunday on 09:40 - Aug 14 with 316 views | _clive_baker_ | The reaction on here is so OTT. We went into a hostile atmosphere at Brum at 8pm on a Friday night, against a side as buoyant as possible with an unbeaten home record last season in what was possibly our toughest game of the season on paper. We had a central midfielder making his debut, a player next to him who probably come September will be 4th choice, Young coming on for his debut, Ogbene on the right making his 1st competitive start since October after a serious injury, AAH coming on up front who we might never see in a Town shirt again from September, Broadhead coming on who wants out and as above, and Humphreys coming on in the middle that simply wouldn't ever have been the plan. Despite that we got away with a point. IMO it was a bit fortuitous, we were 2nd best, but we got a result that most would've taken away to a side who are tipped to be right up there this season. There's clearly a lot more work to do and everyone involved is no doubt frustrated at the progress, but our supporters p1ssing their pants doesn't do anybody any favours. We need to play better, we will play better, but we're 1 game in. People really need to chill.
I think most will agree we need to play better on Sunday on 10:42 - Aug 14 with 223 views | SomethingBlue | I would take a point. This is a month we just need to endure and get out of in fair shape. It was probably always going to be this way. I suspect we will be feeling happier a few weeks from now.

Most people I spoke to pre Birmingham weren’t optimistic and agreed a draw would probably prove to be a good result, so it was very strange to see the reaction we did afterwards. Our performance was worse than I had expected but then the game lacked quality throughout. Sometimes you have to give credit to the opposition. They were up for it like we were against Liverpool last year. Difference this time is the gap between L1 and CH is nowhere near as big as CH to PL.
