I've got a photo of Town's from a decade ago somewhere. I hadn't realised but another media company, not the local papers, also had a photo and there had been quite the row about it, legal action threats etc as they wanted to publish it. I was just going to post it on here for a laugh but hadn't found the moment when I was told about the furore. I don't remember anything particularly controversial.

Years ago one of the young bucks in ( our quite good) Sunday side thought it would be a laugh to have a slash on our goalkeeper's leg in the communal shower. The goalie noticed and went berserk, was quite the scene as a load of naked blokes tried to stop him from ripping apart the now very frightened youth.

If they were about to be 7 balled and you only had the black left; assuming you pottedt the back you would pay £25 and they would pay £50. By allowing them to pot one ball they avoid the £50 fine. If you then pot the black you would have a £25 fine but using the patented method above you would save the £25 free and they would only have to pay £25 therefore saving you both £25.

I explain to defend the method and prove the maths, not because I think a player would care about £25
