Appreciation for Azor Matusiwa 09:33 - Aug 25 with 2572 views | PioneerBlue | Amongst all the negativity and OTT outpouring over a poor result at Preston we are missing the good in the players we have now acquired. Step forward Azor Matusiwa (Mat-oo-see-warr). I’m sure others have got data to support this but on visual only he’s got better and better. He’s got an engine, he makes tackles and breaks things up. He’s got an eye for a pass through lines. He’s around the pitch making himself available for the ball. I’m sure it’s not all been perfect and there is more to come, but great start with big shoes to fill. He will be a fans favourite before long.

Appreciation for Azor Matusiwa on 09:40 - Aug 25 with 2452 views | EssexBloo | He looked v good at Preston and will hopefully be even better with Cajuste/new signing in the team as well. My only very slight criticism is that he doesn’t pick the ball up in advanced areas like Morsy did but overall he’s a good signing in my opinion.

Both Hladky and Morsy put our side on the next level when playing out from the back, every side seem to play this way now, or try too, the calming influence it had on the team coupled with keeping possession and playing through the oppo is something I knew we'd miss and we just don't look the same side, we're finding another way but for me that has put us back in the pack with the other sides in this league to where we were the last time we were here..

Appreciation for Azor Matusiwa on 10:12 - Aug 25 with 2233 views | TownieRob | Improving defensively week on week thats for sure. Needs to make himself available more when the defence have the ball, interestingly he seems to do more of this in the second half of games. He certainly did v Southampton and Preston, so perhaps its a confidence thing at the minute. I'm pretty sure in his Youtube vids I saw him driving with the ball a little more but as you have stated it's early days. What would help him is to have someone along side him who is ready made and who will be a starter for the season but no such luck. Positive signs.

Appreciation for Azor Matusiwa on 11:17 - Aug 25 with 1884 views | Everydayblue | Great signing so far..... Still think we need another Matusiwa type in the building as back up. Atm, looks like he's the only ball winner type in that position, in the squad.. Imo, all three in Taylor, Cajuste and even Humphry's, all play their best football, slightly further up the pitch in more creative roles. And not as "wrecking balls" in front of back four. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Folk should stop comparing him to Morsy though - he doesn't play the same, and is unlikely to become the player to pass the ball out to from the goalkeeper under pressure. Feels like a more progressive passer than Morsy though.

Appreciation for Azor Matusiwa on 07:51 - Aug 26 with 861 views | darkhorse28 | He’ll be a really good player for sure. I don’t think the reaction is about Preston at all, it’s just a proxy for frustrations that run deeper. 4 wins in 42. Worst season in our history. £170 million spent, to be worse as a team dynamic than the £10 million league one side. The constant ‘revisionism’ from so called supporters, that we were a league one side in the premier league, in spite of Muric, Johnson, OShea, Greaves, Ogbenne, Clarke, Philogene, Delap, Hutchinson and our entire starting xi excluding Leif NEVER kicking a ball in league one. Sorry. I missed England legend Phillips and Serie A winner Jens in that list. The lack of vision, strategy, planning, that lead to Azor (a player with zero experience in England) being our only CDM for our essential double pivot, in a 50 game season. It’s so far from elite. Or the standards required as to be terryfying! That’s not to say McKenna isn’t a talented coach who deserves huge respect for 23/24 But he’s as responsible for the failures as he is the successes. It’s pure ego on some parts now, can’t process they might have been wrong, and so the grasping of straws, the re-writing of history and facts. It’s sad to see. We’ve. Even terrible, haven’t improved under coaching, and many Champiokship players in the eam of the season at this level, have massively regressed. We need solutions. We don’t need to go, and desperation for validation and a thumbs up. We need difficult conversations, because 42 games isn’t a blip it isn’t form anymore, there are serious issues at the club. We’ve just sold our best 7 players for £80 million …, and once in a generation opportunity failed. We need to never be in this position again. And NO - we are not a little league one club with zero ambition or ability, just to protect Ashton and Mcjenna …, we spent a fortune, the 3rd biggest spend in history today up. We got it all wrong, and if we don’t start learning, we will continue to get it all wrong. It’s time to look in the mirror…., he won’t be as bad as some will end up painting him, but he wasn’t as good as you you convinced yourself either. Deal with it. The clubs long term future is more important than your ego. £170 million to be where we are is nothing short of criminal.

I took you off the list for a moment (yes, you were top!) to see if you were still putting the effort in! LOL, you still are. Surely there's something else you could try? Macramé, pulling the legs off ants, making your own feather dusters?

Imagine waking up on a Tuesday morning after a longer weekend than usual with all that angst, positivity and aspirational speech - must be soul destroying being so gloomy

If it’s the fault of the club, manager, players, staff how come all the teams that went up with us are in the same boat, and the ones season before ? Might have something to do with the fact no matter what you spend, staying up and winning games is very difficult indeed in the prem. Other teams in our positions are struggling to retain and recruit because of the above, the premier league suck in all the talent at that level and below as they can afford it easily

Is it really necessary for you to copy and paste your same negative comments in so many threads to disrupt them? If that's not evidence of trolling, I really don't know what is.
