Egeli..just now on Twitter/x 20:56 - Aug 25 with 7060 views | Markp68 | Translation is Sindre Walle Egeli may have played his last home game for FCN. After the 1-0 win over Viborg FF, he confirms to Bold that Ipswich Town have made a bid. So maybe it’s not as dead as we may have thought

Egeli..just now on Twitter/x on 21:48 - Aug 25 by LeoMuff | No doubt, but as a club why risk an injury and losing or devalue a £17m asset. Pretty standard practice to not take the chance if things are close. |
Could be a hardball message to Town to stump up the cash they want. Take it or leave it..... we don't care either way. If Egeli had developed a cough and had been rested.... that feels like the deal was almost there in Town's favour. Blackburn did this with us with Szmodics.

Of course we do, we've sold 70-80m worth of players this summer?

Egeli..just now on Twitter/x on 08:05 - Aug 26 with 817 views | LegendofthePhoenix | Presumably the delay is over how the deal is structured. FCN will see that he has huge potential and will want a big % of any sell-on profits. But they will also be demanding a big fee. Which is having your cake and eating it. We either need to pay them a big fee and little sell-on i.e. ITFC take all the risk and reward, or a smaller fee with a bigger sell-on so that the risk and reward is shared. Everyone in football these days wants a bigger slice of the pie than they deserve.

I wonder if we might have to settle for a similar deal to Omari and Delap. Low release clause should we ‘not’ get promoted, in this instance.

While it might be and it’s plausible you’re right, his comments last night suggested it just needs the clubs to agree.

Egeli..just now on Twitter/x on 08:54 - Aug 26 with 442 views | PioneerBlue | Exciting prospect converted at some point by half or all the major teams across Europe. So why have none stock piled him in their academy groups? I wonder if it’s a personal thing and he’s been happy in home surrounds getting a level of football that’s at least compatible to 18s or 23s football - I don’t know the answer to that, it’s certainly a big thing to jump clubs and countries at 19 if you are making decent progress at home but a lot of players seem to do it. If this happens it happens and that would be a feather in the cap for the club and coaching group, but realistically does he make the difference this season, it would be some coupe if he made an impact but the pressure will be on the club given the price tag. Imagine his value next summer! I wouldn’t put it past another club stepping in late once we have agreed the fee but in our favour is where would he slot in to get the game time at a PL club? I guess there may be other European clubs that challenge us then offer the loan route. It’s very late in the day so perhaps we have free run…

Yes, obviously. We've taken in something like £75m for fees this Summer, and have already bid £20m for Hackney this summer. Which (from memory) was before we sold Hutchinson.
