Can they applaud McKenna all the way to league one ? 06:41 - Aug 31 with 3431 views | muccletonjoe | They have done it before , not so long ago. Took a miracle rescue from Gamechanger to dig us out of obscurity. So I guess the answer is yes, they can.

Can they applaud McKenna all the way to league one ? on 18:05 - Aug 31 by nrb1985 | The owners don't run the club, Mark Ashton does. Given what KM has delivered, and that he's very much Ashton's guy, I sincerely doubt (and hope) he's going anywhere. Were you one of the wallies who wanted him fired at Bristol Rovers? So what's the point in having owners if they dont get a say in things. They very much will have an influence in McKenna being given his marching orders if they dont see him as doing a good job.

Can they applaud McKenna all the way to league one ? on 12:31 - Aug 31 by FrimleyBlue | Think KM Is lucky town fans are quite placid really. As a manager he's had a shocking year of football. |
He has, and the reason why he’s not under much pressure is because the club did an excellent job of managing expectations in the PL. I don’t think it was lies, but they hammered home how off the level we were (I sometimes wonder if that adversely affected us and whether we were relegated in our heads before a ball was kicked, but probably not). At this level and below we know he can deliver. And you only have to listen the the vast majority of other managers to realise Kieran’s a lot more switched on than most. He’s being tested now and I think he deserves a chance to step up to that test.

Can they applaud McKenna all the way to league one ? on 07:53 - Aug 31 by muccletonjoe | Mr Lambert got applauded for relegation. The daftest most pathetic day in this clubs history |
Oh come on, We had been relegated for a while by the end of the season, we had long since come to terms with it. Last game of the season we beat Leeds 3-2 at home and gave us heart that we could bounce back. The team that day deserved applause. Even Colin Quaner.

He replies to a poster, accusing him of having an ego, and telling him to stick it. Other comments are equally pointed, and he has a history of it. Not sure why you think he needs defending?

Not sure you have a particularly great grasp of how pension funds and private equity appoint and delegate responsibility mate. I'm probably wrong though and you're right I'm sure.

The players were clapped off after every defeat that season. Everything was pinned on Evans. Nothing on Lambert. It was only when the first League One season started going south that pressure mounted - and even then Evans decided to take the heat off by offering that ridiculous contract.

Can they applaud McKenna all the way to league one ? on 18:31 - Aug 31 by Ryorry | It’s also disrespectful/potential misrepresentation of KM regarding his intentions/motives re a possible move to Brighton/Palace; and he also totally ignores that football has massively changed in the last 55 years. Iirc, SBR went a whole season utilising only 13 players! TWTD. Edit: btw it wasn't me who reported it; but I can see why someone might have done so, non-accidentally. [Post edited 31 Aug 18:56]

Not sure how advanced things got with Brighton, but by all accounts his move to Palace was practically done but fell through at the last minute for some reason. What that reason was, we will probably never know but I suspect it was something contractual they couldn't reach agreement on.
