Are MA, KMc and Owners still aligned? 06:57 - Sep 2 with 1159 viewsLA_Tractor_Boy

After a transfer window which KMc is on record as saying had a greater turnover of players than he would have wanted, do we think MA, KMc and the owners are still aligned?

Some players were 'pushed out' because they weren't offered longer contracts, others due to lack of playing time, or a mixture of both.

I think we need a Matt Holland interview with Ed Schwartz, MA and KMc to show the ITFC world that everyone is aligned from the top down.

This is the key question. We can't know the answer, though.

I don't think an internal media talking heads video would do anything other than do what you say in your last line: show the world that the different branches of ITFC leadership are aligned. They are all sufficiently media trained to give that impression. But it still wouldn't answer the question as to whether they actually are all totally supportive of one another and aligned in strategy and purpose.

They just have different agendas.

Gamechanger want to sell, that’s their priority.

MA wants to keep his job and manage PR.., the only time we’ve seen him is with an ex Norwich player, that says where he’s at.

McKenna. He’s still processing how far away from elite he actually is…., and it’s light years…, and he’s panicking…, because it’s VERY obvious many leaving don’t respond to him, damning how few of them even reference him on their exists.

We’re seeing a man who can motivate in the way up, in a winning culture, but he can’t do the harder thing, the extrinsic motivation required when it go’s south.

He can’t do it.

That’s such a massive failing. Ashton also has minimal self awareness, he didn’t pick McKennas failings and mitigate them, and that was his job!!

He doesn’t know what elite looks like, so how could he.

Guess ultimately Gamechanger aren’t football people and they appointed two people and gave them the keys to the safe, so you can see why they’re selling up.

Maybe the new owners will have more football acumen .., in which case Ashton will last two minutes.., or less.

I'm sure they are - but it would be super helpful to calm our nerves if they would come out for an interview to talk us through it all.

I know we wouldn't get the whole truth, but s bit of transparency on some of the things we can only pontificate on would be great.

Poll: Right now, who would you rather have as Prime Minister?

Not sure I've ever seen as much speculation or unfounded opinion on here.

As I posted yesterday, I doubt the minutia of the English football transfer window and ITFC squad turnover even comes close to registering on our owners radar.

They are long term investors with 10-12 year time horizons, as are Brightpath.

And, unlike most on here, wont be bed wetting after game four of the championship season. Or even at the end of the season if we don't go up.

Maybe everyone is aligned and doing their best.... but they're maybe not as good as we thought they are and are just making mistakes in a tough business as well as making good decisions

I like McKenna and Ashton and I think the American owners have backed this club pretty well. Can't McKenna and Ashton be good at their jobs but also have the human quality of not getting everything right all the time. Are we over-analysing this too much?

They said 5-7 years originally. That’s nearly up. I’m not sure they are going to stick around. Weird rumblings around old Brett’s email. No smoke without fire I hear.

It seems more that the players weren’t aligned. Understandably so if they wanted game time they weren’t getting here.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

Some players chose to leave as they were not offered long term contracts I would say.

As manager, KM has the final say on who goes and who stays - that’s been stated many many times. We nearly signed Hackney for close to £20M and we signed the lad Norwegian lad for a championship record - that proves to me that we still have ambitious and aligned owners.

Players, especially older players have always wanted longer contracts or more guaranteed contract playing time and if we can’t give those assurances then players will want to leave.

We don’t need any such interviews - and even if there was to be one, all parties would keep to the party line.

They are already so obviously aligned as we have continually seen. Each party has built up enough industry 'equity' through the project that if there were actually issues, they would just leave. Gamechanger would make a huge profit, Ashton would get another big gig and KM would get a Prem job.

Your post is hardly surprising though given 99% of your posts are ridiculously negative. You are entitled to your opinion but honestly cheer up.

Your Football club is the envy of most fans across the country and here you are spouting absolute nonsense about three groups of people who have done nothing but demand higher standards and progress for the team you support.

If your demands are super rich ownership who treat the club as a hobby, a commercial only CEO, endless directors of football and a perfect manager who wins 90% of the games they play, go and support City or Liverpool.

The rest of us will live in the real world for all things Ipswich Town.
