Third shirt already on sale in Thailand… on 12:25 - Sep 3 by MrBeckinsale | When has that been a reason for a 3rd shirt? only very occasionally has it been from necessity. |
No shirts are a necessity, unless you're a player. And I imagine they get theirs for free! Makes me laugh... every year people complain about the need for a third strip. There is no need, it's to make money for the club for those who really want one.

We have home shirts, away shirts, third shirts, limited edition FA Cup shirts, stadium issue shirts, warm-up shirts and special anniversary shirts. I wonder what’ll be the next thing - the NFL use throwback kits where each team wears a uniform that they wore many years before. So I’m expecting that - all PL teams to wear them on one given weekend where all the matches are at 15:00 on a Saturday.

Haven't QPR gone with a commemorative throwback kit, from before they changed from green and white hoops to blue and white as their 3rd kit this season? so essentially would probably cause exactly the same clashes as the blue and white first choice one.

Only one way to settle this - throwback weekend will now require each team to have a home and away kit regardless of whether they are playing at home or away.

Totally agree, I mean its literally a case of when actually do we need it this season ? Maybe we'll draw Palace in the cup... That said I think it looks the best of the 3 designs though I'm against changing the badge

I think it's right that our primary kits (Home and Away) should always have the true badge, I don't mind tweaks on a third kit. Be it the retro badge on the white one from the last Championship season, pink or black versions on those Ed Sheeran designs, or indeed this minimalist version. I think the 3rd kit should have a bit of freedom to do something different and push the boat out. Plus I think it looks pretty good TBH.

Late launch though against last year, which was early August. However, the White pin-stripe didn't until October I think. Only thing that irritated me about 3rd Kits was last year, loads of us went out and bought the Burgundy away kit, only for it to become the 3rd kit, replaced by the Sheeran Pink one.

My point was I don't mind if it's needed or not, I just don't understand why people complain about them. No-one's forcing anyone to buy any shirt. But yeah I agree, I really like this one.
