When has that been a reason for a 3rd shirt? only very occasionally has it been from necessity.

Depends on the colour of the second kit. If it’s all white, there are plenty of teams with blue and white shirts. QPR, Blackburn, Shef W.

I know, but its very rare we've actually NEEDED one, due to the away kit colours we've often had.

Or it just becomes the effective away shirt, and the actual one never gets worn.

Third shirt already on sale in Thailand… on 13:07 - Sep 3 by MattinLondon | Only on three very strict conditions. 1. It has to have ‘England’ written on it. 2. The sleeves need to be tattered and torn for it to really have an authentic feel. 3. Must only be available in ‘medium’ so that a lot of overweight middle age blokes can look proper patriotic in it. I agree with 3 - nothing worse than seeing a "larger" bloke in a football shirt.

Could it have Stone Island as a sleeve sponsor?

Not sure why we're having one, as nobody plays in blue and red in the division? I know the answer is because "money", but still seems pointless.

Does it make them that much more money? I guess there are people who buy every shirt but that has to be in the minority I tend to wait until I've seen them all and then decide on the one I like the most

I know a lot of clubs are doing the same, but I'm not sure if I like the horse cut out from the rest of the badge, i.e. whether its recognisable enough for people to immediately associate the shirt with ITFC without the name 'Ipswich Town' anywhere on the shirt. Although I guess the sponsor's name maybe enough of a giveaway [Post edited 3 Sep 13:45]

Third shirt already on sale in Thailand… on 13:44 - Sep 3 by JammyDodgerrr | Okay, that is mint. My only gripe is, it looks more like a training shirt but that is for me, the best of the three this year. Funny how our third kits have consistently been better than our H&A kits. |
You just articulated my thoughts... looks more like a training top than full shirt. Like all shirts looking forward to seeing it worn before full judgement is cast.
