Another day as part of a police force that is actively wasting their time on 18:57 - Sep 6 with 1665 views | lowhouseblue | it's ridiculous. there are many laws with which to combat the criminality of palestine action - so why the government chose an approach that can only ever make the police, the law, and the state look stupid is a mystery.
| And so as the loose-bowelled pigeon of time swoops low over the unsuspecting tourist of destiny, and the flatulent skunk of fate wanders into the air-conditioning system of eternity, I notice it's the end of the show |

I voted Labour, and desperately want them to get their act together, as they have got way too much wrong so far and are basically making it ever more likely that Reform end up in charge. I disagree with you a lot on here at the moment, but I suspect that's a view that we largely agree on.

Barely have the words for any of it. [Post edited 6 Sep 19:01]

To quote my own thoughts on here the other day: "I honestly bloody despair at the direction this country is heading in."

i think they're doing lots right, but they certainly need to get much more right still. but this one is an entirely self-inflicted wound. to prevent reform they need to take away the things where reform is currently closer to the public mood. my wish is for a second labour government, but it will never happen in opposition to the electorate.

Another day as part of a police force that is actively wasting their time on 20:16 - Sep 6 with 1378 views | Swansea_Blue | I’ve got some sympathy with the police here. Their job is to enforce the law and Yvette Copper did a stupid law. I’m not sure what else they’re supposed to do. It’s a ridiculous situation though when we penalise people who want to stop women and children (and men) being killed in their tens of thousands. It’s one of the more perverse political issues I can ever remember. You don’t even need to be on a side here. It boils down to whether you like people being killed or not.

100% and it’s coming from all directions: the public, our politicians, the media, companies profiteering, etc. There’s a lot of good people around still, but you’ve got to go looking for them. They don’t get a look in in the normal national conversation.

Another day as part of a police force that is actively wasting their time on 08:45 - Sep 7 with 537 views | DJR | According to reports there were about 1,500 sign-holders in Parliament Square and "more than 425" arrests. I believe the police had said that they would arrest everyone with a sign but this does suggest they were overwhelmed, and could be said to further make a mockery the law.

Latest figure, 890 arrests. Absolute madness.
