You do come across as a bit of a fanboy when it comes to Wolfie. I thought Wolfie was a great servant for us, but you need to be a little more impartial imo. He often gave me palpitations, as does O'Shea 'occasionally', but I always feel O'Shea is solid, and is more often than not the defender clearing a dangerous ball into the penalty area, The Stats support this - and I know that when a ball was cleared, I'm never surprised that it was O'Shea on the end of it.

There were examples where poor marking, slow Recovery (something O'Shea does very well, and the stats support) or slow reactions led to a goal through putting the rest of the defence under pressure. Not necessarily obvious errors that led immediately to goals, but still contributing to goals.
I don't have time to trawl through all the goals from previous season (and I'm sure you'll use that as a defence for your position), but am confident there are examples "because I have long had this nervousness" with him involved during certain passages of the game. He did a LOT right, and I have nothing but respect for him, but you are really not being impartial on this.

Because the last Championship season was the player that was replaced, O’Shea is definitely better than Wolfie was in 2019. That’s probably the cut off though

What;s the point you discredit all suggestions because you are so in love with Wolfy. you can't see past it. I think. you probably need to invest in a Coventry season ticket

None of those are his fault, try again
I was there the day Wolfie made his debut way back when and have been a big fan of his ever since. I’ve always touted him as a Rolls Royce of a defender.
But sadly he hasn’t pushed on and learnt to dominate opposition forwards like he should have done. In this particular clip he allowed himself to get pushed around by the forward and conceded position to the point where he couldn’t get a tackle in.
It's got to the point where people want to deride Woolfenden - who was a key part to our double promotion - and O'Shea - who is going to be key going forward and even I would admit one of our better players last season. I appreciate I have been at least partially responsible with this.
It's time to thank and wish Woolfenden well at Coventry and get behind the squad tomorrow, rather than trying to rip one to shreds to build up the other.
