My guess would be that he wasn't paid all at once and they are still paying him (as we were woth Lambert). I assume that there will be a clause in the contract that means if he takes another role Sheff U no longer have to pay him or pay a reduced amount and i would imagine that will then get wrapped into his new contract or, clause depending him returning is seen as a new managerial role and they will just negotiate a new contract but if I was Wilder id be playing hardball |  |

I would guess they hadn't had time to agree a settlement of his contract or he wasn't interested in doing so as he assumed he'd get another job soon enough, at which point they'd stop paying him.
I very much doubt Lambert continued to be paid for too long after he left, these deals usually have cut-off clauses after sackings. |  | | |

Always remember the fuss when Magilton went to QPR, seemingly people at ITFC were delighted as it meant we stopped paying him.

Don't get this.
