Blinder by ref, waiting for 79 minutes - that'll be a win to them 16:47 - Sep 20 with 2810 views | DublinBlue84 | From reading around if it's over 75 minutes generally the result stands. Clear to anyone that it should have been called off earlier.

Unless you’re the ref in charge of a freezing fogbound game at the kassam.
Blinder by ref, waiting for 79 minutes - that'll be a win to them on 16:53 - Sep 20 with 2308 views | Trequartista | My understanding of the EFL rulebook is that there is no cutoff and the decision is entirely at the discretion of the EFL Board. If there is a one goal margin with 11 minutes plus injury time to play there is no chance they will award the game. It would need to be something like 3-0 and a minute to go. I can't think of any precedent in English Football where a game has been awarded under these circumstances with so long to go at 1-0 Blackpool-Huddersfield was abandoned in 2015 at 0-0 after a pitch invasion after 48 minutes and the result stood but it was the last game of the season and affected nothing. How long was left there i can't remember. They could award the game to Blackburn but there is no rule, each game taken on its own merit The fact there was one goal in it and 15 mins left, you'd hope we would at least replay the remaining minutes [Post edited 20 Sep 16:57]

Scunthorpe have had 2 abandoned this season alone. One being replayed in full despite being in 2nd half injury time. Other awarded due to the other team deciding to sack it off https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cy859l8w017o | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Yes absolutely..with about 11 minutes left and it could easily go to anything between 15 and 20 minutes with injury time ..no way can they award that result .any amount of goals can be scored in that time...

The ref apparently told the managers that if the game went on beyond 75 mins the result would have to stand - which turned out to be a load of nonsense. He was a Scottish ref and it might apply north of the border but not in the EFL.
Blinder by ref, waiting for 79 minutes - that'll be a win to them on 17:23 - Sep 20 with 1210 views | _clive_baker_ | I can’t see any justification to award the result given there was plenty of time left, a decent amount of added time too with the ref messing around with something on the touchline and it was only a 1 goal margin. Not to mention the fact that pitch was barely playable in the 1st half, it was dangerous by the time the 2nd kicked off and frankly not a football match. Decision should’ve been made earlier, it’ll be replayed and rightly so.

Plus Blackpool were blamed for the abandonment, so Huddersfield were rewarded the win. No one's fault today.
