After the game, they reckon he is way too good for championship!

His game is actually so effortless, no flicks or fancy stuff just utter quality

And yet we still have fans that say he’s not that specially, and we shouldn’t have chased so hard to get him back.

My POS last season, and the key to us having a successful campaign this season.

Needs to add a few goals to his game. That was one of our strengths in our last season in the Championship. If he can get 5-10 goals for us that will be a bonus.

Apparently he’s a show pony with no stats!

He'll be even better when he puts in a full 60 minute shift. And scores. Then we can start ta.king about too good for this division and cheat codes. Brilliant first 20-25 minutes.

First half, yeah. Pretty anoymous second half though.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Most of the team were drifting through the second half.

I think there was maybe a combination of conserving energy for Tuesday and also letting Pompey come onto us a bit to provide more space to work with when we turned it over. We created a couple of chances in transition e.g. the Walle Egeli shot that came from this sort of situation.

The pressure they did have didn't really lead to much until the late corner.

Did they like him to a luxury car? Something like a Maybach or perhaps a Rolls Royce?

Goals from midfield really wasn't one of our strengths last time out. Morsy and Luongo got 5 goals between them all season. The role our CMs play mean they aren't going to be prolific, I'd like to see Cajuste get a few goals for sure but he set up our first and Matusiwa was instrumental in setting up our second, and that's much more what they're in the side to do, link up play and get it to the attacking quartet.

In reality, we have so many goals (as in scoring history) ahead of the CMs that we don't really need them to be doing the job themselves. Better to concentrate on breaking up attacks and, as you say, distribution of the ball. Too much marauding forwards is only going to leave them out of position when counterattacked.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

I’m not worried about goals, I just want to see him put in a complete performance over 60 - 70 minutes. He’s got all the ability to dominate games, and shows it for periods. Not sure whether it’s a fitness thing or confidence & character, I’d love to see him grab games by the collar. He does have a tendency to have a really strong 15 minutes before going missing for long periods. He missed pre season and is still working his way back, I’m hoping that comes.

Used to hate it when people quoted his lack of assists last year ignoring the amount of times he sprung the midfield and released Davis.
