lovely little cameo from him yesterday. What struck me was his terrier like tracking back and snapping at the heals of the oppo players. He even put in a couple of proper tackles.

Last few times he’s come on he’s had really impressive work rate. In a three game week I’d expect him to maybe start Tuesday?

He’s winning me over lately (i know, he’ll be delighted). He seems really focused and driven…… and him coming on as a sub is just ludicrous at this level.

Much like Philogene, as the team starts to dominate and perform better, they will come into their own.

Last season was so difficult for the flair players to make an impression, as you need other players making runs around you to either pass to, or pull defenders out of position and we simply didn't have that last year.

But I fully agree that Clarke is starting to look a real threat, and both him and Philogene doing the legwork out of possession much more.

And IF the right hand side can mirror the left in terms of threat (it will be less tricksy but equally direct and effective hopefully), we'll have no problem scoring and it will be a fun season.

The work rate and back tracking and winning balls on the half way line, is definitely something that KM added to Omari's game.
Can see the same impovements happening to Clarke and Phylogene over time.
No room for luxury players in the modern game.

He looked very motivated when he came on, very impressive I thought

Yep, a bit of belief and confidence goes a long way. I doubt I was the only one not very confident when he took that penalty against Derby the other week - he clearly had no doubts.

A few times Kate last season, Everton away in particular, he looked really threatening and then, a bit like the rest of the team, he started this season very tentatively.

I have to agree, I think the Kmc effect is improving this player as with many others before him.

Think he's a great player, just needs confidence like Jaden does.

Think it's been beneficial for him to be out of the limelight for a bit, the right side role wasn't working for him, so if that means KM can utilise all the training time on really drilling down the KM left role that he want's from clarke, it's going to be interesting to see how far he can go with his development

His work-rate/effectiveness much improved; want him on earlier on 17:04 - Sep 28 with 446 viewsunstableblue

74mins was too late, and we needed the burst of energy the subs gave us 10mins earlier

Surely that helps the squad? Give players who want to start much needed/wanted game time and rests the starters.

I do think KM leaves it to late sometimes with subs, on occasions it's earlier enough, but most games we start to lose things around the 60th minute, we did in the promotion season, obviously natural with the amount of mileage our players put in, but I do think the finishers need a good 25-30 minutes sometimes,
