While both those statements are true, I meant more that they look pretty comfortable playing together.
| O'Shea and Kipre on 18:45 - Oct 5 with 2107 views | FrimleyBlue | I think KM will have to make a choice of who partners oshea. I get the thinking of some behind choosing defenders for certain games but imo with the way we play from the back it'll never work well enough if you keep swapping cbs. So imo let it be kipres shirt to lose or give it to greaves and only play kipre if greaves injured. | |

Whilst I understand the desire to have a ball-playing CB for me the priority in the role is to be a CB. So on what we have seen to date it's Kipre's shirt to lose.

Tbh I'm surprised we are still going with the ball playing at the back. 1.. our cbs don't actually suit that game 2... it won't work if we get promoted. I know it's been KMs bread and butter here.. but is it perhaps not sensible to continue it or of course you do because that's his football...

I thought Kipre looked calm on the ball, surprised me

I don't mind the playing out from the back but two things frustrate: First - we don't need to do it all the time. Some better on-field decisions about when to hit it long may help. Second - and we've only seen this a few times - when we do break the press, DON'T pass the ball backwards.

I actually thought Kipre distribution was rather good in the matches he's played. SB | | | | Login to get fewer ads

If we get promoted, I’m pretty certain that our first choice CB pairing will be different than this season.

| O'Shea and Kipre on 20:45 - Oct 5 with 1427 views | ArnieM | Kipre to me, is everything a CB should be. Strong, has physical presence and puts in a tackle that deals with the situation, and given Woolfenden's attack on Mckenna /Club this week, he needs to look at our CB pairing and ask himself honestly, does he really think hes anywhere near that standard. Becuase Ive never felt he was, but wish him luck in his new career move to Coventry... | |

| O'Shea and Kipre on 20:55 - Oct 5 with 1347 views | J2BLUE | Really impressed with Kipre. 1-2 moment where he could have panicked but just calmly dealt with the situation and didn't look bothered. As I said earlier I liked the way he stopped Akpom getting into a needless confrontation at the end with the game won. It's all starting to come together. | |

Thought Kipre had a good game and I think he should keep the shirt for next game. (Could have said the same for Greaves in the last game TBF). I think Kipre was always starting this game as also performed well against Portsmouth. Good competition for that spot. Genuinely bigger tests ahead for Kipre in that position. Norwich really offered very little (sounds lovely to write). Think he has earnt more game time. I do think Greaves offers different things and is a quality CB in the making so I hope Kipre actually pushes him to be even better.

Agreed, it's the competition that may make JG a better player. As things stand for me JG has to show on the training pitch that he's a better CB otherwise he's cover.

I don’t really think Kipre is a better centre back than Greaves but I do think his style is more compatible with O’Shea
| O'Shea and Kipre on 04:10 - Oct 6 with 792 views | Everydayblue | Didn't Kipre play with O'shea at WBA? Plus Palmer and Furlong? I mean they've probably got some understanding and trust, from previous. I thought Kipre was bought in on loan, just as cover for Greaves. But he's really impressed. And has that commanding presence along with nous. Healthy competition for places, can only be a good thing. | | | |
