He is (or will be) PL quality, whereas despite absolute magnificence Morsy probably wasn't quite, certainly in terms of mobility.

Matusiwa was brilliant in the second half, just like a little dog biting your ankles. The number of times he stole the ball off opposing players and got us moving again. In the past if Morsey did that a yellow card was issued. Our midfield pack is so much better now. In having spent a lot to rejuvenate our side in the last year a lot of supporters are too impatient for success. Yesterday's game proved we are progressing well to greatness again. | |

That's Jens, the fancy dan, creative midfielder, who put in an incredible sliding tackle to reach round the legs of the advancing Norwich attacker on the edge of our area and completely pick his pocket of the ball, if I can mix my metaphors.
They both have all of the traits you want in Central Midfielders.
