ITFC Matchday MC - Get this on the PA just before (or after?) EEJB just before kick off! It's high tempo, uplifting and energy giving and could really ramp the atmosphere up for kick off.
I agree that the lyrics below are too complex/fast to sing, but the rhythm and tempo leading into the crowd belting out "Viva LEIF DAVIS!" would be perfect.
Hotshot left back gonna set my soul Gonna set my soul on fire Got a whole lot of talent and pace to burn And legs that just never tire
There's a thousand scared right backs waiting out there And they're all crying that it just isn't fair Cos Leif's coming at them like a blue nightmare So VIVA Leif Davis! VIVA Leif Davis!
I think it just needs the chorus. That will catch on. It's three words. It just needs singing!
Maybe, but the verses kind of build up to the chorus, and I quite like chants that start off a bit fast and chaotic, then the crowd gets synchronised, then the denouement comes as a crescendo.

If enough of Blue Action learn the words it will catch on at Away matches, and everyone will join in the chorus at Home matches.
(One small plea: can you change "tekkers". A word from the most Tim Lovejoy of Sky Sports eras!)
What's the chorus? Just Viva Leif Davis over and over again? That's shite
We spent most of last season singing “Liam Delano Olé Olé” on repeat (and loving it).
Football songs aren’t great because of intricate, articulate wording. They’re great because EVERYONE can join in, belt it out, get a huge noise and momentum going, singing it spontaneously and over and over and over again, in support of their favourite players.

And for a player who has shown such genuine and rare loyalty, the three words “Viva Leif Davis” have such meaning too.
Which is a shame as the 1st verse + chorus would be better, and should be doable. There are longer chants out there but given how much trouble we have with EEJB sadly I suspect you’re right that it would be too much.
Shamelessly bumping this again, but I remembered hearing that the people who sort out the pre-match playlist read stuff on here and elsewhere and drop those tunes in. Well I reckon this would sound great played a few minutes before KO, with the crowd getting in the habit of joining in with the chorus bit.
