Bookended by Wrexham & Cov at home. Maybe not season defining but that’s a big fortnight.

They could save on travel time by booking a training ground and accommodation somewhere around Birmingham for the whole week. It's pretty central to the three separate corners of England these games are at, beats going to and from Suffolk each time.

Got another midweek on 10th, with Stoke at home..
Busy 3 weeks?
Hopefully see the benefit of some decent squad depth..
Chance to get a good points haul in quick time. Especially the way we are progressing on the pitch.

I'm not so worried about a bit of fixture congestion.. It's going to hit everyone at some point. And I feel that we are better equipped than most in this division, to deal with it..
And if we do start to struggle a bit, with fatigue, or injuries. Then recent history suggests that we'll add 1 or 2 in January...

Back end of December, and we'll see the division really shaping up.. Got teams in false positions atm, at both ends of the table, imo.

You could go on further really, that's just a mad period. We've really got a 3 game block next starting at Boro, then another 3 game block, then from 22nd November its just 1 big 12 game block up to and including Pompey away really with little respite. Will certainly shape the season before that Jan break.

As you say the depth of the squad should help, aside from 2 or 3 key positions (namely Davis and Matusiwa) we've got 2 for each position, so if injuries are kind to us we'll be able to rotate and 'manage minutes'.

I honestly want it called off again, due to rain/pitch, and the league give us the win.

The meltdown would be biblical

Does Sheepy still manage St Georges park? That would be a great base for these games and would also build on team spirit.

These are the games our squad should shine. Some of the teams that have good starts haven't got the squad depth, and will fall away when the going gets tough.

Easy 9 points, 8 - 12 goals scored. Potential Jaden double hatrick over 3 games.

There's even a Sir Bobby Robson Way and a Sir Alf Ramsey Way there, seems like it's written in the stars.

By the 4th Jan I think I'm going to be all footballed out - never mind the players. Going to start to see the importance of the squad depth I think.

Kieran could pull some strings and get them into St George’s Park for the week 👍

Yep. Dress rehearsal for that upcoming period last week, wasn't it?
Presumably there will be a bit of a 'home starting XI'/'away starting XI' pattern continuing to emerge. As much as he says to take each game at a time, McKenna has always managed his squad so they are ready to tackle the season as a whole.

I didn't know we had a Black Friday game! That's perfect for a post turkey coma, Friday afternoon holiday session. Almost like a boxing day TV game for a few of us this side.

Lovely.
