| Please try not too over react . on 09:41 - Oct 22 with 915 views | Swansea_Blue | I think it’s the perspective of nearly quarter of a season that’s getting people worried rather than just last night. Last night just highlighted many of the issues that have been there all along, and yes there’s always a bit of a flounce after a loss. But there are issues. We certainly need to hold our nerve and keep supporting, but it’s understandable why people think we’re in trouble. I suspect KM thinks we’re in a bit of trouble too based on his demeanour. | |

| Please try not too over react . on 09:43 - Oct 22 with 899 views | MattinLondon | In isolation, games like last night happen - that’s football. But it’s not in isolation as we have had a few underwhelming performances which were played at walking pace with zero creativity. I don’t want to overreact and for all I know, we could now go on a twenty match winning run but something is missing. And it’ll go on to cost us a lot of points - and if he doesn’t sort it out, it’ll cost KM his job and reputation. For starters, a sense of urgency needs to be injected into the team. What kind of curry did you have? | | | |

Yes. Also, you can't say it feels 'more like 5 games than 10' because of the group coming together late and then make 7 changes and expect everything will be rosy. Having said that, the players on the pitch in the second half have to take accountability for that. We need to start showing some character.

….pick a starting 11, pick a finishing 11 and stick to it whenever possible. Changes can obviously happen when injuries and tactics dictate, but 2 or 3 changes not 6 or 7. Stick to what we are good at, like Davis getting beyond our winger on the outside not the inside. Move the ball quicker from the back. Don’t be so obsessed with sticking to our incredibly obvious patterns of play, be prepared to miss out a short pass through midfield if the situation offers it. Build partnerships, that was a cornerstone of our success but it seems to have gone out of the window of late. Work on our set pieces, both attacking and defensive. And I never thought I’d say this, but getting Morsy back in the building really wouldn’t be the worse idea. ….that would do for starters.

My thoughts exactly, minus the Morsy signing.

That's 5 games against top half teams, and 2 points gained. That's last night in perspective. I'm glad you enjoyed your curry, and time with family is priceless. Football is only a part of life. There needs to be a bit of culpability and waiting for it to just click is indicative of the 'sit back and come May we'll be back in the Prem' attitude. This isn't levelled at you personally but I think we as fans can raise and discuss the issues together when things simply aren't good enough.

….its just a knee jerk to the last couple of performances. But we do miss someone who’s a dirty little thug that’s happy to give his oppo a dig in the ribs then stamp on his knackers.

Funny how fast things can change though right? After Nodge all was looking rosy again. KM had cracked the new team. Got manager of the month (clearly still cursed) and O'Shea was an absolute boi with his "our effin people" talk. One disappointing loss and a second disaster one later, now it's McK out, O'Shea is no leader, whole team is crap blah blah blah. Fickle aren't we.

I personally wont be KM out unless we continue this way until Jan. If we are still so disjointed, and differing results, then maybe I'd think a new voice could be needed.

I am fairly calm about it, it’s great that we have the backing, the great support, the foundations. The hardest part is not enjoying games as much as the double promotion winning team with all of the characters that were in the dressing room, the banter, passion and togetherness that was apparent. With this team the reality is some maybe a little better than what we had but no where near the amounts paid for them so expectation has been raised to such a level that disappointment, harshness, bitterness will just come to forefront and sooner or later the inevitable meltdown. A lot of these players are not as good as they think they are and certainly don’t seem to be playing for one another or co ordinating as a team which is down to them to adjust and also for McKenna to realise. Yesterday with all of the changes was a massive insult and lack of respect to the opposition team and massively back fired for him so attest that won’t be happening again. The apparent ceiling of these players looks to be lowering game by game as I don’t see much extra skill/performance per individual that their previous replacements didn’t also have. Is either midfield player better than Morsy - no - is either defender better than cam or wolf or fridge - a hard no - is philogene, Clarke better than broadhead - no - the right side with no burns I can’t say but judging on what has been spent I don’t see anything better than what other teams have for far less spend or even better than burns when he returns. It will be ok as sooner or later it will gel but we are not going to be the title Defining team that one would expect for £100-150 million spend. No where close to it and the amount of this team almost makes me laugh and cry at the same time - it’s rediculous especially when every one is struggling with cost of living and these amounts are bounded around in the championship by us with little to show for it [Post edited 22 Oct 10:49]

You massive bellend :) Agree with all that, except Morsy. Though your underlying point is bang on re character and leadership, which seems to be sorely lacking.

I agree with everyone and would have Morsy back in a heartbeat to play alongside Azor. Feels much more like the Mass Morsy partnership that served us so well last time we were here. Play Nunez just in front of those 2 and we would tick imho

| Please try not too over react . on 10:57 - Oct 22 with 451 views | SamWhiteUK | We are in a tricky position at the moment. We are rightly complaining that the team as it stands shows no fight when we go behind, and I can understand fans getting annoyed by that. But on the flip side, if you're on the pitch and you can sense that the fans have no belief that you'll get back into it, that can hardly help. It's a vicious circle. This team need to get a win from behind to prove they can do it and the fans in turn need to stick behind them until they do. But if the negativity on here and other social media strays into the stands (and it already is) then we are going to spiral. We had a turning point before when the fans and Morsy started getting into it after an away game (Bristol Rovers?) but do we want to risk it getting to that point again? Yes I'm all for analysing but some of the comments both on this forum and other places are for me well over the top . Very disappointed myself with the start of the season and last night in particular but still hoping it will improve. | | | |
