Godfather films.

I was going to mention series too but didn't want to derail the thread.

Think unless you were ever a 6th form goth you will survive without ever watching Lost Boys.
Gav really needs to take a peak at the Godfather movies though.

….a “Harry Potter” film.

Not sure they are “classics” but I appear to be in the minority.

Godfather 3 not so good as 1 and 2. I might re-read the book.

Yep, Godfather 3 was a bit of heavy lifting, but I had watched them over 3 nights so I was a bit Mafia'd out by that point.

Forgot to add The Goonies to my OP. Think the ship has sailed on that one too.

I think it is good for its age. You must remember that many, many films have been made since then that have taken the good bits out of it and made it better. Same with Casablanca. Fanstastic film - now getting on for 85+ years old.

A bit like the lords of the rings trilogy. Many newer similar books have been written in the genre since that are much better. But that was good for its time. Or anything by Jules Verne. What an amazing guy he must have been to write those a long time before a lot of the things he wrote about were invented. What a guy.

Lost boys is a very well produced film with a good beginning, middle and end and the soundtrack is superb. Pretty strong cast in there too. A non complicated film where you can just sit back and enjoy the spectacle.

I actually saw this for the first time last weekend with my two kids. I expected it to be rubbish but it’s quite entertaining.
