KM's answer when a journo said a lot of Ipswich fans would be happy if he would stay here forever. Taken with other comments he's made recently, the recent criticism seems to have stung.
Can we please get fully behind a manager who has delivered what many of us could never have imagined seeing when we were traveling to the likes of Morecambe and Fleetwood? He should be in no doubt how valued and appreciated he is.

tbh tho, that's probably a bunch of 17 year olds mixed with some 20 year olds trying to remain in their teens thinking its funny

I'm surprised he's taken any of it to heart.
The only ones genuinely suggesting he should go aren't really worth listening to, so I'm surprised he's taken any notice whatsoever.
Granted, there is the sarcastic applause when he makes subs, which doesn't help, but that's just frustration on the whole - it's not people asking for his head.
And after all, we've had a fairly iffy start to the season, for whatever reasons, you can't really avoid that fact. But you can say that and say you're concerned about our promotion prospects, and still want McKenna to get a lifetime contract. [Post edited 30 Oct 2025 20:31]

"Dara" would also be my choice for the back because the man's ever-present, and I fully agree about "O'Shea" not flowing so well.
I find "Hirsty" to be up there with "Lukey" on the cringe scale but who gives a hoot. It doesn't really matter if the crowd all choose different names even and those small bits come out a garbled mess.
I feel the song died because the last line became too detached from reality, rather than because people had issues with Kieran being super or with replacing old favourites' names. And it hasn't been revived this season because we've yet to climb high enough in the league to allow our little hearts to believe again, to find our conviction. |  | | |

The point isn't about being upset about it (well, for me anyway), but just to acknowledge that despite the claims by some that the players/manager never see/hear any of the personal negativity thrown in their direction.
