in your parlance, they'd be blowing after 30' and down to 8 men by half-time! the second half would see modern teams pulling away
having said that, if they'd been brought up with modern diets, modern fitness regimes and current rules, they'd be very competitive. the only disadvantage they might possibly have is that those teams were mostly the best british players with a few exceptions, whereas today's teams have the whole world to pick from | |
