(I know, but we haven't had a thread about them for a few days, and I've got a cold which is making me irritable.) [Post edited 20 Nov 2025 10:48]

All well and good, but then he doubled down on the Núñez decision. Very bold move, especially with Attenasio having said he wouldn't have done it with hindsight.

Yes, I know darling, hence the parenthesis, but by the same token I can't understand why some people seem to get so touchy about others having the occasional bit of fun at our rivals' expense.

Exactly this - I would laugh at their misfortunes if we were in the Jewson League and they were in the Champions League.

Caught a bit the Reeves twins 'grilling' him. Two things caught my notice. 1. They spent most of the time trying to get Knapper to throw individuals under the bus. 2. Whoever house they record that shit in, their partner doesn't allow shoes on the carpet. Bizarre thought of one of them clicking their fingers at Knapper in the hallway before the 'interview' and saying "Shoes"

The Dribble Norwich City gimps really are an odd pair. I tried watching it to laugh at their misfortune, but gave up after a few minutes. It was awful. I did notice that the usual players aren’t fit enough line is being trotted out. Why do they do that? I suppose it’s easier than saying they’re cr@p.

Yeah, I think a lot of it is about Knapper trying to create a diagnosis and cure which suits his agenda, i.e. not getting fired. As Knapper has been largely responsible for recruitment, as you say he can't say the players are cr@p. They have had a pretty poor time of it with injuries - if that can be quantified, then he has some evidence from which to spin the line that this is the problem. If he can diagnose some of the reasons, and prevent a plausible cure, then he's bought himself more time, as he's theoretically solved a problem that multiple qualified coaches and medical professionals didn't spot. if Clement is the saviour, it doesn't matter whether Knapper was right on fitness/injuries. If he's not, then I suspect Knapper is for the chop anyway. It's amazing how much he says that he must take full accountability, and "that's on me", both in the Henry Winter-view and in the Harry Potter torture dungeon shoes-off love-in. Someone should have asked him - if you must take accountability, how come it's been the last two head coaches who've been held accountable, rather than you. He's the common denominator. The lowest one, frankly. It seems to me that Clement is far more qualified for his role than Knapper is. It's going to be like the Headmaster going to the Head Boy's locker for important meetings. It may be that Norwich improve and survive. I am impressed with the Clement appointment, personally. I'd love to be wrong. Even just getting Sargent scoring again will improve them markedly. Knapper 'can't see a world' in which Sargent leaves in January. If he's right, they have a prayer. If he's wrong, they'll need to get a big fee, invest it much better than previously, and get immediate results. I hope Kieran and Ashton are scrabbling around down the back of the sofa as we speak.

I'm astonished by Knapper going TO the TNC pod and not inviting them to Carrow Road. And the shoes off thing?! What on earth. Then, inviting Winter in to do your internal piece is just... weird? It's like the club are saying, yes, we've got loads to own up about... but my word do it with some dignity. You are still the football club, you still hold the power. It does genuinely look and feel like the Evans/Clegg era. People with no idea what they are doing.

Its Norfolk - of course they are related
| So in their head still, looking at the Oink Un... on 07:47 - Nov 21 with 847 views | Churchman | Had a quick peek at the Oinkun and their supporters are beginning to get a little moist about Clement. Sort of new manager excitement. Looking at the bloke’s record, he seems to start well then fade. That’s what happened at Rangers and Monaco before he was booted out. Rangers supporters thought him not big enough for the job basically. Peeling away their arrogance, one has to ask how hard is it to fail in a two team league? However, the swell of Norfolk optimism is based around his interviews and first training session and possibly even his Star Trek alien appearance. He does look a bit fierce. Maybe it’s all the horse meat he gets through. It seems that the DoF in particular is throwing Manning under the bus then reversing it over him. Pity he appointed him then - and last year’s danish bloke. So from Knapper with his interviews it’s all ‘not me, it’s him’. If you are Clement you’d be very wary of somebody like that and the people that tolerate him. Still, maybe he’s the perfect fit and I guess he’s on a big fat contract and if the players fail to respond to boot camp he’ll be going with another big fat pay day. All looks a bit messy to me. I suspect there will be a new manager bounce. I’d like to wish him well ……….but why would I do that?? [Post edited 21 Nov 2025 8:21]
