Like a few of the other members of the squad he's been a bit hampered this season by the high levels of availability we've had from our preferred options. He's only an injury or two away from being a regular squad member and then getting his chance from the bench.
Agree a loan/sale in Jan is probably best for him but he has great utility within the squad - CM, 10, LB and might be kept around for that reason alone. |  |

If anything km hasn't really shown any trust in youngsters.

Don't think it's much of a mystery. He's not getting past our CMs and when Townsend got injured that probably made the decision with his ability to cover LB.

probably not a huge surprise now; up until very recently we had a league one academy and we're now wanting players at a prem/championship level.
i expect we'll start to see some progression of the academy players we've brought in recently, but it's going to be an uphill battle for the barbrooks and baggotts that we got in the evans era unfortunately | |

don't think evans funded it to category one levels after we missed the cut by 0.02% or whatever it was.
the new owners didn't seem to be that interested until we got to the prem either.

Not sure he's ever going to be good enough in all honesty? For the ITFC of a few years ago sure but now the bar is higher, and he looks like his ceiling may be league 1 with lower end championship at a push
